legolandia Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Errr so many ideas so many to list.... Jedi Temple £129.99 Figs Council Members + Younglings + A couple of Republic Commandos. I fully agree with this one. It is long overdue. An iconic building and a great opportunity for some great minifigures which we wouldn't be able to get with other sets (for example Jocasta Nu, younglings, etc). Quote
Syrath Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I'd like to see a proper Droid battle pack because they've only ever done one while they have done three Clone Battle packs. The Assassin Droid and Mandalorian battle packs are fine but there is no cheap ten pound Droid Army builders. Something like four Battle Droids and 3 Super Battle droids with some variety. Sets I'd like to see and are possible Droid battle pack £9.99;4 Battle Droids (Commander and 3 Basic) and 3 Super Battle Droids and a small tank or vehicle. Vulture Droid £10.00; A single Vulture Droid. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 10 minifig pack of: battle driods stormtrooper snowtrooper scouts clonetroppers etc LEGO could probably sell em well at $30 or $40 a 10-pack, and it'd be a cheap way to build an army Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I don't see why 10 minifigs for $30 is any better than 4 for $11. It's not a better value, and the smaller sets make it easier to buy only a small amount if you only need a few minifigs. And if you want a lot you just buy more. Quote

It's not a better value, and the smaller sets make it easier to buy only a small amount if you only need a few minifigs. And if you want a lot you just buy more. Take for example I want to build a small army of 20 snow troopers for a MAC, one battlepack has only 2 snow troppers and 2 other figs that may not fit in my MOC. I would need to buy 10 of that battle packs (over $110 plus tax) to get 20 snow troopers. I could sell the extra figs but it may take a few weeks to months to sell of all of them on BL, and eBay has that greed issue that keeps driving small sellers away. If Lego were to release 10 pack set with all 10 of the same fig that are commonly part of an army, then I would need to buy just 2 of them and it'd be a lot less than $100. Just an example. I know such sets would sell fairly well for some of us who wants to build a big army quickly. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I hope to see a flash speeder, it would be good to see Panka in a cheaper set. Also an x-wing, Tie fighter chase would be nice. Quote

Maybe eight standard infantry troops and an officer. That's standard for the Imperial Army and the GAR, and it could work well with the Alliance and CIS as well.EDIT: fixed quote Edited May 13, 2011 by Brickdoctor Quote
Syrath Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 The 8 figure packs seem like a decent idea for a set and it may be better than a battle pack with a vehicle you don't want. It would make army building far more easy than it currently is. Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Clone heavy cannon: Includes: heavy cannon, crates Minifigures: Rex, Askoka, clone trooper, R2D2, clone gunner Quote
Fives Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I just saw, on a non-LEGO website (I know, blasphemy!) and saw a picture of an upcoming Hasbro figure of Plo Koon in a snow outfit. It had a really cool mask too. I think this is based off of one of TCW comics, but It would make a really cool fig. Just a thought... Also, we really need some commando droids, and possibly a new vibro blade piece. It would be better than the plain old pirate cutlass. Possibly a set with the Trident-Drill ship with some commandos (maybe two) and two new aqua droids. It would be nice to have some more variety within the ranks of the Seppy army. I mean, BDs and SBDs are cool only for so long. Quote
Syrath Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Well you do have to include a vehicle or location. What about the Second Battle of Geonosis? It was a Clone Wars episode and did include some awesome looking Battle Droids with a Sandy Red colour and Yellow arm stripes. Also the Battle of Coruscant with some ruined terrain. Quote

Just terrain won't cut it. It needs a vehicle or a building, otherwise TLG will run into legal issues with Hasbro. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 How about the final battle between Obi Wan and Anakin on Geonosis? Just the industrial walkway (which detatches for "floating" along orange baseplate) and 2 minifigs. Yoda's home with Luke and dirty looking R2 minifig for the training in ESB. Also would be nice to have a box full of about 20 micro scale Star Destroyers and micro scale various Rebel ships that could be played along with Death Star II (if you have it) UCS Medical Frigate (with matching scale Millennium Falcon) as seen at the end of ESB. Could have Leia, Luke, medical droid, R2, C-3PO, Lando, and Chewie. This one's probably unlikely but the final scene in ANH with the full complement of rebel soldiers and workers as well as Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Chewie, R2, and C-3PO. over 100 minifigs total. Also it seems LEGO never touched these 2 extra Star Wars spinoff: Ewok's Adventure and Battle for Endor. Would require new minifigs for the human characters and some Ewoks. Quote

Just the industrial walkway (which detatches for "floating" along orange baseplate) and 2 minifigs. Assuming you mean the battle on Mustafar from episode 3, it's already been a set. I don't remember it being a very popular set, but it was one. But lego are prone to remakes. Yoda's home with Luke and dirty looking R2 minifig for the training in ESB. Again, it's been done, and it was included in one of the x-wing iterations. Although a "dirty" R2 would be interesting. Everyone has their fantasy sets without a chance of ever happening, and this can be yours (along with the box of minis up there), I'll just say I'd rather see a battlepack with a little yellow cargo craft and a few rebel workers, and maybe an a-wing pilot with a molded helmet. Also it seems LEGO never touched these 2 extra Star Wars spinoff: Ewok's Adventure and Battle for Endor. Would require new minifigs for the human characters and some Ewoks. What about the holiday special I'm not trying to shoot you down, just letting you know some things you might not have... Quote

I agree. Lots of people mention huge sets with an army of minifigs; I say just do a small set with a fraction of that army, and if you want more, you buy more. If it's a BP, you'll probably end up with more minifigs per dollar anyways. Quote

A Geonosion Sonic turret or a Dwarf Spider Droid? Both are vehicles and would be quite cool. A Couple STAP's could work if not a turret or Spider Droid. Quote

Anakin and Obi-Wan never fought each other on Geonosis, but they did both fight Dooku there. Just clearing that up. Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 For me, I'd love a new Cloud Car! For bigger sets, a Battle of Endor like set for Hoth would be very nice (and there's a chance we may get it this year!) and some sort of Senate rotunda or a Jedi Temple set, although I know it's a long shot. For ships I'd like to see Bail Organa's Speeder, a generic Coruscant Taxi, a Naboo Flash Speeder from episode one with Captain Panaka, Padmé, and a Naboo Guard (be nice to get a battle pack of those guys!), and Owen Lar's Swoop bike from Episode II with a few Tusken Raiders. Some Kashyyyk sets would be nice to, battle packs, maybe a new catamaran, and a tree (very unlikely though). There are more of course.... Quote
Lego Otaku Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Oops yeah I got Geonosis and Mustafar mixed up. Not too fond of the new trilogy, more of the classic trilogy fan. :D Quote
newwavepop Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 i would like to see some more cantina sets and aliens that could maybe connect with the old cantina set. Quote
Mr Man Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I would like to see some more cantina sets and aliens that could maybe connect with the old cantina set. TLG would be better off making a new cantina, how many people would still have the old set for a new set to go with. No a whole new set would be better. (A double sided one, in one side Han can shoot first, and the other Greedo can ). Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 (A double sided one, in one side Han can shoot first, and the other Greedo can ). I agree about a whole new one from scratch. Besides, the old one was so tiny that most owners of the old one would still go for the new one. Quote
StoutFiles Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 The other one could hardly be called a cantina. I'm thinking well get a big cantina set with the 3D release of ANH. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 After playing LSW3, I want to see Geonosis super tank, stun tank, Octopus ship (Asajj Ventress' ship), a PROPER AT-RT, and I think that's it. Quote
