Fallenangel Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I suppose so however they still look more brown than tan ? Quote
Mr Man Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 ? They do look like a light brown just not as light as tan. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 They do look like a light brown just not as light as tan. They look like a yellowish tan. TLG does make other colors besides brown and tan, but none of them are yellow enough for the AAT. The one that comes closest is tan. Quote
Petit-bleu Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Tan tan tan tan tantan tan tantan! Obviously it's a lot closer to lego tan than to lego brown. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 -The AAT should be brown as it's the same colour as the MTT. -No need for a new MTT just do a re sell of it with the new print figs and a a new droidika. -As a small Plo Koon's starfighter or Imperial V-wing size and priced set. -Dinosaur ponies the kaduus are birds . But a fambaa mold yes we do need. -A Hoth Rebel Base size set (the old one not this one). Have you got a million pounds to give him . -What's one of them? -No we don't, we want clones and droids and armies not politics . -Nah, it's definatly tan. But seriously- let's avoid another blue one. It jsut doesn't look right. -Yeah, but LEGO rarely does that. -That sounds good. -It's an old joke. Doc might get it. -I'm thinking bigger. To do Theed justice, it should be at least 100 bucks, probably more. -The Droid Control Ship -Speak for yourself Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 -What about 6212. -To rounded I think for an effective Lego set. He said "rarely", not 'never'. I think I agree. There are ways to make a sphere of the size needed for a System playset, but I think there are to many curves and the arms would be too unstable. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Perhaps if The LEGO Group were to expand upon their ? They could but there are a few problems. Firstly, I doubt the parabolic plates around cube would look good at a large scale. (but then again, it can't look any worse than the Venator playset, can it?) Secondly, those arms might be stable at that size, but at a larger size sufficient to house a playset, they might not be. Thirdly, that model was build by the animators. No guarantee it would make the set requirements. Quote

If not, I'm guessing BUPs. -The arms look to be constructed in a similar fashion to the 4504 Falcon (the double rows of click hinge bricks). So long as the base remains on the ground, I think it would be stable. - Juniorization is your friend! Quote

They could. I'm sure it'd have enough studs to please them, and I supposed with a Technic inner structure it could be strong enough. AFOLs have already done it. Either that or a ton of wedge plates, like on the DS2.In this case, agreed. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Now I know a few people have suggested the B-wing, but has anyone ever considered a B-wing with Power Functions - a flick of a switch and the wings deploy ! Now that is a display piece to show off to your friends over a few drinks.....it would make Ackbar very happy. Quote

If there were to be a Theed set, it'd need the following: -Throne Room -At least one hall, likely with 'smashable' window. -A small hanger. Let's be honest- this is TLG we're talking about, it's not gonna be big. -'Reactor room', or whatever the place is where one of the best duels happened. -Some sort of exterior. Likely a door with some small scenery. -Padme 1 or 2: Preferably with battle dress, maybe one with the famous red queen robe. -Obi-Wan -Qui-Gon -Darth Maul -Anakin. I don't care how much you hate him, he's neccesary. -Panaka (?) -R2 -Theed Guard- 1 or 2. -Droidika -Battle Droid- 1 or 2 Quote

No, seriously....a UCS B-wing with power functions to deploy the wings and no sound effects required - the geek who owns it will do that job ! You could do the same to the X-wing.....oh, that would be cool - locking X-foils into attack position ! Quote

'S-foils', and less commonly 'X-foils' are both correct. They do stand for Stabilizer Foils, for use in atmospheric flight, but they also stand for Strike Foils, to disperse heat in space when the fighter accelerates to attack speed (such as to engage in a dogfight). Later craft with wingtip-mounted weaponry use them to increase spread coverage of the weapons. Quote

_nours Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Hi everyone, for a future SW set my wish is a... UCS Probot : I always loved this "droid" and the way it moves in ESB. There have been many fantastic large-scale renditions of Probots in the past (the one in the first picture is lowlead's, the second Gareth's) - I, too, would like to see this. I'll bet it's considered too obscure for UCS, though - a pity... Quote
