I would like to know why TLG stopped producing small system scale sets? Just a few examples that were made years ago; 7101 Lightsaber Duel,7103 Jedi Duel,7251 Darth Vader Transformation,7113 Tusken Encounter etc. with one or two minifigs.

Now we have BPs, someone will say new Planet sets, ok...but that is not point so I would like to see again that "old-school" little sets, maybe one idea would be Yodas Escape Pod with Yoda and Chewie and so on.

probably all about money and profit from small sets but again I think that would be great...

The answer appears to be battlepacks. See here.

I'm wondering the same. They can make good use as both parts as minifig pack, and people will probably buy multiples of them. $40,- is easilier spent on some smaller sets, than just one larger set. So I expect it will be lucrative for TLG too.

They still make those small sets, they just cost more. Inflation + improved building techniques + costly figure molds = higher prices.

The answer you're looking for though is TLG makes more money by forcing people to buy the higher priced sets to get all the figures they want. Figures are where the money is these days.

You refer to the Battlepacks, I assume? Because we haven't seen any Star Wars under 20 bucks the last years, if you don't include the battlepacks. We've only had a couple of mini models, and the currect planet sets of course, but no system scale sets with a low price tag. One missed oppurtunity for TLG if you ask me. Personally, I would rather buy three $15,- sets than one $45,- set. But that's just me...

No, I'm referring to sets like Ewok Attack and Droid Escape. They add more parts than needed to improve the model, and toss in some good figures. Those kind of sets used to be the cost of the battlepacks, but are now significantly higher.

Of course we'd rather have the option of multiple small sets over large sets, but TLG makes less money that way. At least, I assume so, or else they'd go back to the way things used to be.

No way we will get Pong Krell in LEGO. His shape is way too difficult.

Why, not ? Lego have designed and produced the Hulk for the Marvel releases.

It would make a great set, Krell vs. clones as he had to turned to the darkside.

I would rather have Krell and Clones v.s. Umbarans.

Could you post a pic or send me a pm because I googled him but I don't know which one is official LEGO and which is custom.

Or, more correctly: Clones v.s. Umbarans with Krell just standing around.

Yeah, he was supervising or being a council worker !

I guess to be realistic about this, season four sets would be next year correct ?

Well, we did see a Season 3 set in 2011.......

TLG is jumping around the timeline of TCW so much, I'm not even sure we'll be getting Season 4 sets. On the bright side, if they continue on their Season 1 and 2 kick, we might finally get sets from 'Rookies'! :sweet:

What could we get from "Rookies"?

Likely won't.

We will just have to wait untill TLG makes sets based on the Umbara arc of TCW. :cry_happy:

Which they will. Why else does Lord Garmadon (Ninjago) have four arms?

stranger things have happened...... :snicker:

Regarding a possible Pong Krell, let's take a look at some other minifigs with 4 arms. There was the original General Grievous. Yuck. Frenzy from Space Police 3. Hmm. :sceptic: New Garmadon? :hmpf_bad:

Samukai and the newer Grievous look pretty good to me. I think we'd get something like Samukai but with molds that are fairly accurate to the cartoon, just as the new Grievous was.

The Rishi Eel, a Droid Dropship, a Final Sacrifice set, oh, the possibilities are endless!

All I really want is a Hevy or Echo minifig. I don't especially care what sets they come in.

You likely have them many times over. They were plain clones. (Shinies)

For Echo, I would rather have (more) sets based on the citadel arc. We could get Fives, Echo, new Obi-Wan, new Ahsoka, Osi Sobeck, Anoobas, etc. I am thinking something like the Seperatist supply ship.

Yes, but Echo has the blue handprint, and Hevy has the Z-6 rotary cannon! :sweet:

I already have a custom Hevy, but Echo is proving to be very troublesome to make. :hmpf_bad:

Echo had the handprint when he had ARC gear. Thus the Phase 1.5 ARC hemet could be reused. (Fives on Umbara had a Pahase 2.0 helmet) Hardcase in an Umbara set could have a Z-6. (If TLG even makes one)

Yes, but the ARC Trooper torso has to have extra armor printing, thus eliminating the chance that the ARC Trooper Echo torso could be reused for a Phase I trooper.
