Please someone tell me why one of the best threads on the EB Star Wars forum has been inactive for half a year. Winter is coming is over, everybody take their cameras and make some great shots!

I'm going to revive this thread in 3...2...

I'm currently experimenting with character shots for a series of custom new republic era characters of my own making only using official Lego parts. Since I like dogfight spacebattles AND Jedi, here's the first result:

Nice shots jay, Particularly like the gold effect round C3p-o, What camera settings did you use for these?

Also thanks for your kind comments guys, Hope to do some more shots soon.

Thanks Joker. I set the camera to a 4 second exposure at f/8. The lighting effect is just from a free app on my phone, where you can turn the screen different colours to produce a glow.

One other shot, this time with a bit more of a scene-

My last image with just the snowtrooper was kinda lame, so since we just got yet another snow storm where I live, I decided I would try to improve upon it.

@arc: Did you wonder why your snow is not white but grey instead?

Automated exposure algorithms of all cameras expect all intensity values to be in mean "grey". So whites mixes up with blacks to a grey.

If you have more or less JUST white, the white will be umderexposed and becamre grey.

White and bright images always have to be overexposed manually to get them realistic white in the image.
