Masked Builder Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Masked, I like what you're trying to do in your pic, but at the same time I would like to offer a few critiques, if I may. Since your focus is so shallow and the object that you are focusing on is so small, it's pretty hard to tell that anything is in focus upon first glance. With either a more prominent missile or a slightly different angle, the action could be much easier to make out. So maybe have it focus on the Geonosian and the missile then? Quote
Oky Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Today I finally recieved my prizes from the character rides contest, and seeing as now all of the Eurobricks Stormies have been distributed, I thought it was time for a group photo of all the ones that I won over the years. Here they are together with their fearless leader, Commander Oky! Front and back shots of the EB Stormies. Note that the rifles were not included and were added by me for this photo shoot. Big thanks again to KimT and the other staffers who created and provided these beauties! Quote
Hollander Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Sweet collection Oky. I have a question though; are the Stormies' legs custom or from another SW figure? Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I did the hologram effect myself. It does need a bit more work though. And Oky you have three?! Quote
Oky Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I have a question though; are the Stormies' legs custom or from another SW figure? They're the legs of this Stormie from 7264 Imperial Inspection. Oky you have three?! Yup. What do you think I got for all those contests I won on here. Not bad, but the photo editing needs work. The hologram should be transparent and maybe even have those lines going through it, and the window should have some reflections to show that it is a window and not just a hole. Quote

Yeah I said on Flickr that I was going to work on it. Quote
Hollander Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) Nice one Masked Builder! I had the same critique as Oky, but before complaining I read you're going to finish the details. I'm looking forward to the end result. Edited October 22, 2011 by Hollander Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Okay changes made and he looks a good bit better. Quote
Hollander Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 (edited) I think it's improved Masked Builder, the only critique I would have is about the hologram; it should be even more blurry, as you can see here. Except from that minor detail, good work! Edited October 23, 2011 by Hollander Quote
Oky Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I agree, some blur would be good, as well as those horizontal lines going through the hologram. And I still think you need to do something about that window. Quote

Oky Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Well, for starters I would make the black into a very dark gray, and then either put a dirt map or some white-ish diagonal lines over it, or maybe even both. You just have to look at some reference and play around with it until it works. Quote
Mr Man Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 (edited) My last photo: *Snip* I hope you like it. I love the Lightsabre effect Linko . Oh the blade is in the wrong side of the hilt . Edited October 31, 2011 by Mr Man Quote
tkf Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 My last photo: Nice, it looks just as LEGO Star Wars Video Game screenshot. Quote
Bane Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I love that picture Linko. The darkness is cool, it really looks like the lightsaber makes light. ... But Yoda holds the lightsaber the wrong way. ;) I made a Lego Star Wars comic called "Turnaround". Check it out! Quote
Tachyon Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Nice pictures. Did you take them with a professional camera ? my favourite is the group of stormtroopers with a rodian in its ranks. Quote
Linko Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 ... But Yoda holds the lightsaber the wrong way. ;) Ups! Zakura, are you talking for me? If it's true I use a Nikon D100. Yes, it's a professional camera. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Wow amazing shot and great editing there Linko. Quote
Mr Man Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I love your glowing lightsabre pics Linko. Quote
Hollander Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Nice ones Linko. The glowing lightsabers are a nice effect indeed. You might take some photo's of Sith with glowing red lightsabers in a even darker environment. Think that would be really neat. Quote

Masked Builder Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Another good shot Linko. I just need to get back in the mood here..... Quote
