purpleparadox Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Wow they look great. Thanks! That really means a lot to me. Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Here's another one! This I edited with an app called VFX Studio. I like it, although maybe it's a bit too hard to see. I'll have to go easier on the smoke next time. What'ya think? Quote
JackJonespaw Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Yes, much less smoke. From what I can make out, it looks pretty nice, though. Quote

purpleparadox Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Thanks guys. That's what I thought, but oh well. Keep watching for more! Quote
Vindicare Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Also, the gun effects are a bit much. 3 different blasts from tye same gun is strange. They should just all be red lasers, like they are in the movies. Everything else looks good, you're doing great. Quote

I originally had all red lasers, but they started to blend together until it looked like just one shot. Oh well, it's something to work on! Any ideas/requests for what kind of photo to do next? jmagaletta Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 After seeing this, just bought that app. Oh the possibilities. Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The first grass picture is excellent. Thanks! There's a couple members here on EB that I'm kinda in awe of...you're one of them, so your compliments excite me a bit! I'm particularly fond of that first grass shot out of all of my pics so far. After seeing this, just bought that app. Oh the possibilities. It appears I'm doing a bit of promoting the app by accident. A word of advice, it leaves a watermark in the corner so you might want to crop it out of whatever you make. Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Young Anni on Tatooine IMO the sand I used for desert has too many pebbles, etc. to be Tatooine, but it's still okay-looking. I absolutely love this fig. The Naboo Starfighter he came in was one of my favourite pre-Dark Age sets, and the figs hold a special place in my heart. C&C wanted, as always! Quote
Mr Man Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Young Anni on Tatooine The lighting on that is great, the shadows are looking very nice, though Ani's soulless eyes are scaring me. Quote

DFOL Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Young Anni on Tatooine Like Mr Man said, the way that the light is angled and the shadows are cast is very nice. Still, i can't help feeling that the picture isn't very entertaining yet. It may just be my personal taste, but i really like pictures that tell a story or tickle my imagination. For example, instead of having him standing still you could have him performing some kind of action, as to give us a hint to what he is doing in the middle of nowhere. Or you could work with the background so he no longer appears to be in the middle of nowhere but part of a larger scene. I hope you find these comments useful, keep up the good work! Quote
che6mw Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Hi all. New here and there are some great shots over this thread. Thought I'd add a couple of my own: Horace wasn't quite cut right for Clone Academy #3 Star Wars Unusual Suspects Always Separate the Whites Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 @che6mw: They're funny, but maybe you want to post them in the Single Pane Star Wars Funnies thread? Thanks :) Looking forward to becoming active here. Got back in to Lego about a year ago (after a 20 yr absence) and have caught the bug bad! Hope to do some photos with Jabba's Palace this weekend... Vindicare Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Nice shot! I concur. I like these 'out in nature' shots. Quote
