I love your shots raphmeister, do you mind explaining how you shot them? Do you shoot on a glass table or do you have a piece of plexiglass? Thanks!

thanks. i use an old dslr (nikon d90) and a flash and that's it. i think a number of folks are keen on knowing how the reflective thing is done and it's just a low cost piece of black acrylic. have fun :)

I've watched this thread in admiration for a while, and now that I've joined I thought I'd post a picture I took after being 'inspired' by the photographs I've seen here-

Very nice! Great angle combining real foliage and the minifigures!

Today I started takin pictures of stormtroopers in real life settings. I thought they turned out pretty good for having been taken with an iPhone, so I decided to post them here.

If any of you are unaware of it, I want to mention the photography of Kevin Boots on flickr. I blogged some recent examples. I remember when I first started blogging, in fall 2011, several months after Kevin started his first Star Wars 365. (A ’365′ is a project to post a photo every day for an entire year.) I was inactive on flickr for a long time, I recently started looking at more content there while blogging more often, and he’s still going, well into his third 365. His photos are humorous and he takes outstanding shots with everything from DSLRs to an iPod touch.

So, check out some recent highlights on the blog that I wrote a bit more about, and also see his photostream.

That code is in HTML, which EB doesn't support. So, if you take the embed code:

<table cellpadding="2"><tr><td style="border-bottom: 0px solid #fff;"><a href="http://500px.com/photo/39424060"><img src="http://pcdn.500px.net/39424060/34bda8bee9e8c0a1816c298a49631f99b812a428/3.jpg" width="280" height="280" alt=""Several fighters have broken off from the main group. Come with me!" by David C (lightsped)) on 500px.com" border="0" style="margin: 0 0 5px 0;"></a><br/><font style="font-size: 120%;"><a href="http://500px.com/photo/39424060">"Several fighters have broken off from the main group. Come with me!"</a> by <a href="http://500px.com/lightsped">David C</a></font></td></tr></table>

See the code, '<img src="..."', that's an HTML image tag, and the source URL for the photo is between the quotes following 'src='. So copy that URL and put it between BBCode img tags:

[img=http://pcdn.500px.net/39424060/34bda8bee9e8c0a1816c298a49631f99b812a428/3.jpg]

3.jpg

And something I discovered: 500px didn't give me an option for the size of the picture to use, but if you manually change that last number at the end before ".jpg", then you can see all the different sizes. For example, changing it to '4',

[img=http://pcdn.500px.net/39424060/34bda8bee9e8c0a1816c298a49631f99b812a428/4.jpg]

...gives you:

4.jpg

If you still want the link to your page, then you can use url tags:

[url="http://500px.com/photo/39424060"][img=http://pcdn.500px.net/39424060/34bda8bee9e8c0a1816c298a49631f99b812a428/3.jpg][/url]

Posted

You can just paste in the URL as you did there, or you can use URL tags:

[url="*URL for the link to lead to*"]*text to be the link*[/url]

So this:

[url="http://500px.com/Lightsped"]My 500px Album[/url]

Gives you this:

My 500px Album
