fenris, your recon shots are thebest.

What kind of plant are you using to hide them in, it's the perfect material. It reminds me of the jungle.

Great work again!

I finally started taking pics for the "Display your Army" thread, but decided to try something I've been meaning to get round to for ages - with all the laser pointers I've got as freebies at conferences and meetings (from drug companies, and generally only if there's doctors around, rather than just us plebs from the labs...) and finally managing to transport some dry ice home (need the "steam" so that the beam shows up) I thought I'd give it a try... unfortunately, time and space constraints (I can't leave the display up, and I got home late) meant it's a bit less impressive than I hoped, but for what it's worth, here, are some of my efforts...

I'm definitely going to have to clear a proper, desk or above heaight area, as the bed is just too low (and it got a bit wet from water spillage :cry_happy: also, I couldn't get the CO2 high enough for long enough (I originally wanted the turrets to be "firing" the green laser....) so I might try a more enclosed

scene next time...

finally, a couple I did a while ago, just using the lasers to illuminate the lightsabres...

hi heliacon,

I tried it myself a couple of times and it´s really much harder than I imagined... the results that you achieved are much better than I ever came close... waiting for phase II

yeah - it would be less trouble - and look better too - just photoshopping them in, but I thought I'd give it a try :classic:

Ahh, helicon you stole my idea. Drats.

Oh well, you beat me to it. I've been thinking about doing this for a while now, but I never seem to have enough sets built at a time to get some minifigs together.

Some look a little choppy, but most turned out really good.

Woah, that laser effect is impressive helicon, while in some of the pics the smoke/steam/notsurewhatitis is too obvious, I think the first, second and fourth picture are really good. Even if the first is a bit out of focus and the laser beam seems a little blurred, it really conveys the action and the atmosphere of the battle.

Nice shots helicon

Lasers and dry ice- great stuff!

Like the rebel commandos shots fenris, and the Tie pilot one is excellent!

Oh and nice new avatar big cam

Just heard an old song I like quite a lot which inspired me to redo a shot of a stormtrooper...

Blutengel / Dying alone

Lyrics:

Can´t you see me falling – an endless fall

Can´t you hear me calling – a never ending call

Can´t you see me bleeding – I´m losing control

Can´t you see me dying – I´m dying alone
