Commander_Rob Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 It`s been way too long since someone added a picture here. I know what they say about reanimating old topics, but what ever happened to this one? It seems to have been completely forgotten and buried under other stuff. And that is not good, this was a very exiting and fun topic not long ago. So here`s another picture: Imperial Radiation Zone Assault Trooper scouts a hostile enviourenment: The silver stormie makes a nice radtrooper, they actually have silver armor, leading to the Rebels` nickname for them: KSA - kinky silver armor. Don`t hate me for resurrecting this topic, I just think it would be nice to have some nice photos here again. Hopefully there are still people out there who actually have any new photos. Quote

I think it's perfectly acceptable that you bumped up this topic. I always like looking at the wonderful shots posted here. I think it's when people bump up a year-old MOC just to say "This is great! Well done" when it starts to get annoying. The problems with Brickshelf may have caused some slowing down. Another very nice shot, Rob. Quote
smokebelch Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Cool shot Rob Nice to see this thread revived- been meaning to to do a new shot, its been ages since i last did a lego one. Really struggling to find the time (and the inspiration!), doesnt help that the weathers been awful here- here's hoping for some snow this winter- dying to get some outdoor Tauntaun shots Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Really nice shot Rob I like the background with the sand and the rocks....looks like a new planet - maybe a sister planet to Tatoinne! Great job! CommanderFox Quote
RileyC Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Cool shot Rob . It must be really hard photographing something as shiny as the chrome stormie with the minifig acting like a mirror. Quote
Commander_Rob Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Thanks everybody, seems it wasn`t too bad to get this going again. And yes, photographing something this shiny is very hard without getting reflections all over, there actually is a reflection of me here, but it is on the helmet and thus pretty warped, so you can`t really see anything. And, smokebelch, you are so right, I am also lacking ideas for new pictures, the weather is pretty c*** too, overcast, not enough sunlight, rainy.... That is why I am still running on shots from my last holiday here, with backgrounds impressive enough that you don`t need much of a concept behind the photos and weather doesn`t matter much (as long as the figs don`t get blown over). So here is another of those: Promotional mini walker provides scouting and light support duringt the assault on the Rocky Plains. This is the one of a series of pictures from that battle, so there is more to come... Quote
MadAboutLego Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 wow these are absolutely brilliant Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Again a Great shot Rob I had a long look at the background and it actually looks something like the dead bodies of geonosians! Can't wait to see more of your pics! CommanderFox Quote
Sisco Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) After seeing the great shots in this topic, I thought I'd try. Now, I am horrible at photography, so these are probably going to be substandard compared to Smokebelch or fenris. John,My sigfig Believe it or not, this was actually taken in the evening, under a streetlamp. Clone Trooper Definately a background shot here. Extra(my avatar) I know this isn't Star Wars, but this is really the only place to put this. This is my favorite pic besides the one of John. Edited December 2, 2009 by cralegoboy Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Nice shots cralegoboy I like them, there actually quite good! At first I thought you where joking about the street lamp shot, then I looked at it more closely and I could imagine it being night. I like the clone trooper one the best though. Great job! Big Cam Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Do you guys think you could do something like this for my computer desktop? Please? Do what, build that scene out if LEGO? Quote
Commander_Rob Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hmm, nice idea, I still have a tree, living room and fireplace on hand. The antlers on R2 would be hard though... Quote
JCC1004 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Not the scene the exact figures. I'd just like something Christmasy and Star Wars. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Not the scene the exact figures. I'd just like something Christmasy and Star Wars. Oooh Requests ehhh In that case i'll have a Commander Fox coming down the chimney and I mean thats a cool pic of 3PO. CommanderFox Quote
RileyC Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 If someone can pull of that shot of R2 and C3PO I will be a very happy man! Good luck Quote

-JD- Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I was thinking what I could do with my Endor figures just after I opened the set, and I took these: Sucks that flickr compresses them, then they become pixelated. Quote
KimT Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Imperial Inspection (gimped cause i wanted the colours really strong...).. other shots on flickr - link in my sig... Very effective and quite scary. How do you get the figs to have such expressions on their faces? Mine are all just cold and doing as I tell them to. Quote

fenris Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 @Jammiedodger: nice work! How do you get the figs to have such expressions on their faces? I told the emperor that his Death Star just got blown up... so he was quite in a bad mood :-) thx! Quote
