not-in-use-anymore Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) So what did type of super small lights did you use for the eyes? That is what you did, right? I hope the sandcrawler is moving... (I like how the sandcrawler has blended colors from the blurryness, the set seemed too patchy ) I like the C3-PO shot, but it could've had some bones and "It's too rocky".(hope I got that quote right...) Nothing done to the eyes at all, apart from a small bit of contrast adjustment the shot is 'as taken', was lucky that the sun was directly overhead- with the bright paint of the jawa's eyes you get a great reflection Oh and its a small micro machines Sandcrawler in the background- much easier to transport! Yeah Threepio shot was a bit of an afterthought- bought him along with me, and took a couple at the end. Funny you should mention the 'bones', been long meaning to get a shot of threepio with the Kryat Dragon bones in the background. Had a go at making some with fimo last year, but didn't turn out very well- and not yet found a good Lego substitute... however its only a matter of time... gonna have to get my thinking cap on Edited April 20, 2010 by smokebelch Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Just found on Flickr not sure if there posted yet!but cool pics Those were done for the LEGOWorld 2010 convention this year. The Death Star MOC was done by Morten, and the Medal Scene was doen by KimT. You can find the thread for the Death Star here, and the medals here. Smokebelch, those are some very good photographs. I love that speeder bike shot. Quote
Brickus Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Lovely photographs Fenris and Smokebelch, the Jawa one is excellent, so are the Vader shots. Quote
prateek Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Oh and its a small micro machines Sandcrawler in the background- much easier to transport! Genius Quote
Commander_Rob Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Very cool pictures, smokebelch, sandy beaches are definitely a nice thing to have around, unless it's windy of course. I've been meaning to upload a pic or to here for weeks, but my problem at the moment is that I totally lack inspiration. I would like to take some shots again, the weather is wonderful, but I have no idea what to photograph. I guess I'll just pick a bunch of random figs and see what I can come up with. Quote
fenris Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) No comment on smokebelch shots. As usual... GREAT! Specially love the one with the Crawler.. great work.. want to see more of them! Weather improved over here too so i got out an Ewok and went to the woods... "Not in our wood!" Despite my profound HATE for Ewoks I discovered my love for this little bugger with his feathers on his hood and the "don't harm me"-expression on his face. He looks terrified but willing to fight - maybe because of the Empire who just arrived on his little woody planet... ...and a quick b/w portrait Edited April 22, 2010 by fenris Quote
Big Cam Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Oh and its a small micro machines Sandcrawler in the background- much easier to transport! Uh oh, Micro Machines makes SW stuff? Great now I'm going to go google it, find a bunch of stuff I want and go even more into debt. Quote
Minxter Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Love those photos Fenris! And of course all the other photos . Minxter Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I love the pictures, but why did you take away the Ewok's color? But something about "not in our wood!" makes me think some scout troopers stopped to go behind a rock. Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 You are amazing. I hope I can do some stuff like this when I get my photo studio set up. Masked Quote

smokebelch Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Brilliant stuff fenris- love the Bantha! Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Great idea on the bantha fenris! Nice use of the taun-taun horns. LegoGalactus Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Nice ChewBantha, but would a Tusken Raider be that big on it? Quote
Big Cam Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Haha, good work fenris. I wonder if you could get the same effect with Chewie's head backwards, so you don't see the face? Quote
Commander_Rob Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Very nice picture and a good workaround for the bantha as well. I guess that's a young bantha, being pretty small and having not-so-curly horns. Quote
RileyC Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Great Bantha Fenris, Chewie must be pretty upset Quote
RoryoCox Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Nice technique used for the Bantha, Fenris. A great picture overall. Well Done Quote
fenris Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 (edited) Thx a lot guys!!!! Another re-creation of an epic scene: Transformation of Darth Vader The Lord has come... Edited April 24, 2010 by fenris Quote

ShowaddyWaddy Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 These pics are amazing they make the minifigures seem life sized. My favourite pics are the sandtroopers ones, the scout one and the one with the stormtrooper in front of the sunset. Quote
