Frolando22 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Wow Cool Wayno. Love the fly by effect. Keep shooting! 2000th reply for Star Wars LEGO Photography Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Meanwhile on Endor the Scout Speeder cup was well under way..... [snip] Hmm... It's a really nice shot, what bothers me about it is that it looks just like a picture with Motion Blur added to a background in PS, whether that's what you actually meant to do or not. Not sure how to fix that. Quote

Not sure how to fix that. Hit the nail on the head as they say! Although i may plan at some point to get out and try and shoot this scene for real.... It does pose a few problems. How do you support two speeder bikes at the same time hold a camera and pan?.. plus its cold and i didnt want to be the "hey look a that crazy guy playing with LEGO" lol SO.. Last week a recived my new green/blue screen for my studio work i thought i`d see what results i could get using LEGO, Now this is the first time ive used a green/blue screen so i knew i was never going to get the real thing but hey its a starting point. I`m fairly happy with the results and yes there is room for improvment so i will work on that for my next shot The set up Set up speeder2 by Maximus_W Set ups, on Flickr the result Set up speeder1 by Maximus_W Set ups, on Flickr I loaded up a forest photo into PS and added some blur and motion blur, then using layers added the bikes slighlty bluring furthest biker, did some contrast tweeks and done... How do you support two speeder bikes at the same time hold a camera and pan?.. What about just applying a very slight motion blur to the bike itself for starters? I don't know what would look better; blurring it straight out or duplicating the layer and blurring the lower one. plus its cold and i didnt want to be the "hey look a that crazy guy playing with LEGO" lol You need not be ashamed of your LEGO! smokebelch takes his LEGO outside for shots a lot - beach, snow, forest... Nice! As for in the future, well, given that you have PS and a greenscreen setup, how about a stand that you can edit out? Working on the same principle as the blue support rods for the models used in filming the OT. Quote

JimBee Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Endor Speeder by Maximus_W, on Flickr Woah. My eyes sort of flipped out when I looked at that, very cool picture. Great stuff here from everyone, really, I follow this thread regularly along with the Funnies one. And after looking at all of these great photos, I decided to give it a try myself. By no means am I a professional photographer, in fact I'm just trying this out for the first time, so my pics probably are no where near everyone else's. But let me know what you think. Eh... I wish I would've moved that leaf. Quote
