Solscud007 Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Another great Endor shot Solscud, the motion blur effect is very realistic! thanks. i need to work on lighting and bkg. Quote
Big Cam Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 More pictures: How did you do the lightsabers like that? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Great work, Solscud! How did you do the lightsabers like that? My guess (and it's only a guess) is that he used two solid-colored 4L bars instead of lightsaber blades, used a wand tool to select one bar at a time, turned the selection white, and gave it a colored outer glow. Linko Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Very summarized, but yes. There are many variations but the result is more or less the same. You can make the swords are crossed, or that they are like in the picture. Quote
Bane Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Here the last LEGO nature pics I made on Rügen. Sea Patrol At the beach Thanks for looking, feedback is welcome, as always! Greetings Bane Quote
Darth Yogi Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Awesome shots bane. I prefer the first one since I think the positioning was planned out better. They are both fantastic shots. Great job Quote
Stardusty Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 IMHO, first one looks better, since lighting and setup are perfect. Stormie is standing on the rock or sand? It looks like som dirty sand to me, but whatever it is, it shows a Stormtrooper in desperate (or maybe not) search for something. Perfect! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Your photos are getting close to being right up there with the best, Bane. Quote
Fives Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I've been following this thread for a while, but haven't posted anything, so I thought now was a good time. I give you Endor Patrol: Enjoy! Quote
Darth Yogi Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Just took some new shots. Hope you like them and enjoy. Thanks for looking, and please C&C. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Those are pretty nice, Darth Yogi. Crisp and well-lit. Quote
Stardusty Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Shaak Ti one looks better to me. Background looks better in contrast with the figure itself. Your photos are crisp and clear and I hope you'll make some nice outdoor shots in future. And man, I like that trans-blue lightsaber blade. I must get one set with them. Quote
Darth Yogi Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 And man, I like that trans-blue lightsaber blade. I must get one set with them. Thanks. I will take some out doors shots, but right now it's kinda muddy out. I need to wait for all the greenery. And if you ment the dark blue blade, this is just the regular light blue. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Anni's Revenge. The caption for this picture is a toss up between: 1. Did you hear something? 2. Do you smell something burning? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 This is bound to be a classic, Solscud, just like cartoons where a character doesn't realize he's on fire. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Excellent shot Solscud, simply love that lighting saber effect. Is that a LUL or another form of lighting? Quote
Stardusty Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 "It's Justin Bieber with brown hair." "Oh man, please don't sing!" I know that hair has nothing to do with Justin Bieber, but that was must-write. Nice photo! Thanks. I will take some out doors shots, but right now it's kinda muddy out. I need to wait for all the greenery. And if you ment the dark blue blade, this is just the regular light blue. Well, I call it trans-blue since there's no actual trans-blue bar 4L, and this looks better than any other version of blue lightsaber. So, it's just trans-light blue... Whoops, it sure looks like trans-blue/dark blue. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Excellent shot Solscud, simply love that lighting saber effect. Is that a LUL or another form of lighting? It is a customized light up saber hilt. I run a fiber optic cable into the hilt. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I know that hair has nothing to do with Justin Bieber, but that was must-write. Nice photo! The same hair mold your avatar is wearing? Quote
The Legonater Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I've been working on a new avvie, and I hope to have it up right after the Red Scare Conclusion comes up. I'd love it if you guys helped me pick one. I've devided it into two (originally 3, but the pictures didn't work out as well as I'd hoped) different posses. If you could select your favorite out of each, that'd be great. 1. 2. Quote
Darth Yogi Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Nice shots The Legonater. I personally like the second to last picture. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Interesting shots TheLegonater, good to see some experimentation in the lighting. I like the one with the overhead lighting the best. Quote
Ceroknight Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) I've been working on a new avvie, and I hope to have it up right after the Red Scare Conclusion comes up. Brickdoctor Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I agree with ceroknight, I think the back-lit one looks best. That said, I think that avatars should be nice, clear, easy to see images. Preferably with transparent backgrounds. Quote
