@Designholic - Superb shot, the positioning, lighting, and background all work really well together.

@Parrothead Rasmus - Come on, your photo is not awful. Be more positive :classic:. The mime seems to have everything in reverse, white face and black shirt instead of the opposite.

That's not a bad photo, Parrothead Rasmus.

I'm still really just a newbie myself, but to improve it, the first thing I'd do is even out the lighting, because there's glare on the torso of the right-most Snowie and the two left-most 'figs are a little dim. I'd also lower the camera angle a tad, so it looks more like a photo shot from a minifig's perspective than from a human's perspective. Something could be done about the noise; probably a lower ISO and better lighting. Finally, I'd get a smoother backdrop, because the 'ground' is slightly warped and it just screams out 'toys on wrinkled paper!' to me. It doesn't blend in to the background well, doesn't look like a floor, and doesn't look like natural terrain. Keep working at it! :classic:

Mine look awful compared to everyone else's. This one's from my photostream on flickr.

why so negative?

is that one who somehow sneak through recruitment via the back door?

Nice shot, Cloney O'. Is this lit with a white screen or a red screen? It looks tinted red to me. (though I like that) And how long is your exposure? For my on-black shots lit with an iPod touch, I go for something between a ten and fifteen second exposure, depending on how large the scene.

It was lit with a red screen; white was giving me too much of a blue tint, and I wanted something a bit more dramatic. I think I was using about a five to seven second exposure. When I went longer, too much light came in and I was starting to see the room around it. I was also taking it on a mirror, if you couldn't tell, which helped bounce the light around and make it brighter.

I figured I better put that iPad I recently got to good use. Many, many pictures later, there was only one I could even work with…

i don't know much about photography but thought that your photo looks life-like as in it was straight from the movie set.

Ah. Usually I let in a little more light and I'll start to see the black backdrop, but then adjusting brightness and contrast turns the background black again. Now that you mention it, I do see a little of the mirror, but it's not that noticeable, which I think is a good thing.

Shaak and Aayla

Very nice, very crisp photo Clone O'Patra. At first I couldn't understand why Aayla was smaller than Shaak but then I realised She was sat down .

Nice shot, Masked. I like the way you angled them. Nice profile shots. And, once again, you're welcome. I'd do it again, as well. :sweet:

You were the chosen one!

It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them!

Bring balance to the Force,

not leave it in darkness!

I HATE YOU!

You were my brother, Anakin.

I loved you.

No photoshop except the first for the lightsaber and the mouth, instead of being happy is sad.

More photos tomorrow.

Great job with the effective lighting to capture the visuals and even the emotion of this memorable scene Linko. I also like the dirtied Obi-Wan and the close-up of the charred Vader in the last shot.

I like to look in on this topic every now and then and just spend a while browsing through the excellent photography. I thought it was about time I showed some appreciation. I'm very envious of some of the talent on display here, I wish my shots could be as good but I think I'll stick to browsing. Keep up the good work everybody and thanks
