Posted March 24, 20159 yr I came across this submission on Lego Ideas and what an incredible MOC it is!!! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/86874 I sure would love to see this made into an official set, but possibly with a different color scheme. Great Work!!! Edited March 25, 20159 yr by DrJB
March 24, 20159 yr One vote is mine but heavy machinery doesn´t like as well as satellites for example...
March 24, 20159 yr Actually almost everything that is not licensed (movie, games, tv series etc.) stands no chances, be it good or not. This one's good and so little votes :/ Same goes for your F40 - I can't understand why it's not at 10000 already :(
March 25, 20159 yr Agree, always surprised on how bad most Technic(al) models score on Lego Ideas. The F40 is a "good" example. I also want to publish a Technics model soon on ideas, but hopes are low...

March 25, 20159 yr I can't understand why it's not at 10000 already :( Even when it will reach 10k votes, it will not pass the review stage. Why? Because there will be a Creator F40 released in this year.
March 25, 20159 yr I didn´t see your post Mestary, thank you for the compliment but I have to say that I never thought my MOC pass, even with 10000, because I already had thought give free instructions for it and so I did months ago. The F40 creator was simple chance.

March 25, 20159 yr I better shut my mouth up. I supported all of your entries on Ideas but it seems the general crowd simply prefers licensed set. So not so much new ideas but a rehash of what you saw before somewhere... Not really encouraging. I am testing these waters now too, and already know I won't make it. Maybe it's too original so I choose to take it as a compliment :P
March 25, 20159 yr Author Not sure about the 'licensed' sets comments. There are still few lines within Lego that have not used any licensing at all: City and Creator, so maybe there is a chance there, and efferman mentioned this dozer is at minifig scale.
March 25, 20159 yr I checked on Lego Ideas, and in general support for great Technic(al) models is quite bad. There should be enough Technic fans out there I would say, but they are not voting. Any ideas on how to reach them better?

I didn´t know that, I thought who want a Lego set with previous free instructions... . I checked on Lego Ideas, and in general support for great Technic(al) models is quite bad. Well the Land Rover of Sheepo was supported because it was an awesome MOC but it is important too an afol group behind the MOC and I think the Land Rover has a big fan club in the world, magazines, forums, etc... this is the secret for a supported MOC.

As for Sheepo's Defender: I think that was one of the most featured Technic MOC ever. Online and printed press, etc. I think it is even more famous than his ground-braking Veyron.
