ToaSalvus(lego) Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Maybe it could be based off the novel scene? Or just be a jungle setting? Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Either of those would be cool. I definitely feel that if we get more sets, we totally need more variety in the Dino's we get! Quote
ToaSalvus(lego) Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I hope, the bulk of them are from the original 3 movies. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 I hope, the bulk of them are from the original 3 movies. Some of my choices would be Galimimus, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, etc. Quote
ToaSalvus(lego) Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Ya, but I ment the sets themselves. Quote

*thomas* Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 All great ideas, they just have to focus a bit more on buildings. It's always cars, minifigs and dino's... And when they do design a building, it always is a half *** job. Couldn't they also put the time and effort they put into a modular into an other series of buildings? Quote
ToaSalvus(lego) Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 If we got the lodge, I want it to be the WHOLE building, not just the front. Quote
azog Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Yeah I agree but to do the whole building it would probably have to be a $200 set. Will they want to do that? Quote
Krikkit Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Building wise... The amphitheatre with t rex the power station with raptors the labs with dino eggs and some random small dinos The big aquarium with the giant fishasaurus (cba looking its name up) The gates. The issue with the buildings is that there were not many, it was predominantly an island Quote

knight_40k Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 How about a set from The Lost World. The ship deck with a momma and a new moulded baby t-rex would be awesome. Quote
Robert8 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Since the set didn't pass the review, this thread is pretty much pointless now Quote

Redbeards_Rum Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I am very shocked that the set didn't pass the review. I was banking in that Quote

Lego lover 88 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 What about a set based on the sick triceratops in the first movie? Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 What about a set based on the sick triceratops in the first movie? I'd love that man! I've always thought of it as: Jurassic Park: Triceratops Encounter 1x Dr Alan Grant with Raptor Claw 1x Dr Ellie Satler with Leaf 1x Dr Jerry Harding with a Syringe, and some medical-themed tools. 1x big-mold Triceratops 1x Original Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler 1x Piece of shrubbery Quote
Elrond Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) I feel like we could have one big JP set with all the main characters, it would have a Ford explorer, a Jeep, Rexie, some fences and maybe Gennaro's restroom. We could have almost all the main characters in 1 set: Malcolm, Grant, Ellie, Muldoon, Lex, Tim and Gennaro. Hammond could be offered in a polybag or something. Or we could also have one wave for all 3 JP movies. Here are a few ideas: - Jeep Wrangler, Rexie, some fences and a tree trunk, Muldoon, Ian and Ellie - Ford explorer, triceratops, Grant, Ellie and Dr Harding - InGen helicopter; pteranodon, Hammond, Lex and Tim - TLW trailer, 1 Mercedes M-class, baby T-rex, adult T-rex, Ian, Sarah, Kelly, Nick and Eddie - InGen 'hunter' 4x4, pachycephalosaurus, Roland Tembo and either Ludlow or Dieter Stark - The boat from the end of JPIII, the spinosaurus, Alan and the Murphys - Dennis Nedry polybag (with shaving foam can) I know there aren't any raptors but we had 4 in the JW sets. I feel like that might be too many cars and T-rexes however... I also thought about adding some structures but the only ones I can think of are the raptor paddock and the visitors' center, both of which are too big to have a satisfying set based on them imo. JVM Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Working on a catalog-esque proposal for a LEGO JP series of sets... for fun, mostly. Trying to match up price points is pretty difficult though, as well as avoiding 5 different sets with jeeps... A couple thoughts about dinos in the meantime... You could probably re-use the Dilo body (well, Raptor without the sickle claws) and a new head to come up with a really basic proper Gallimimus, if LEGO wanted to keep spending low. I think the legs for the Triceratops could absolutely be re-used for an Ankylosaurus or a Stegosaurus, but new tails, heads and bodies are almost certainly required. Not only would a Spinosaurus only require a new separate spine piece, and head - the Indominus arms can work on the Rex body, back legs and tail - but the latter could be re-used for a Baryonyx if LEGO wanted a new species to add. Apatosaurus and Brachiosaurus could probably share a body, neck, tail and back leg pieces, with different front legs and a head to give the unique Brachiosaur body structure. There's four variations of Velociraptor we could still see on the same mold and at least one more Tyrannosaur variant. Obviously we'd all love completely new molds but I'm trying to think realistically to maximize our chances of new dinos ;) Quote
