Looking great so far but i'm a bit worried about those grinding teeth which can easily harm sourrunding parts!

Very smart MOC Sariel!

I would defintelly add one ore wheel like this one: link

Do you plan to create MkII with SBrick?

:wink:

Mine daughter have the same type of a hamster moc, but don't wanted ride at mine ships even with a lot of food, maybe he get seasick :laugh: .

Great video :thumbup::laugh: :laugh:

The image at 20 seconds (showing the drive train) had me laughing out loud. And this was also the first time ever that my wife showed interest in a LEGO forum post. :-)

BTW, the comment above about grinding teeth is for me a close second to the Best. Comment. Ever.

This just made my day! Great work.

Regarding the possible interference sunlight <-> IR - no problem in real life use - it's night active by nature.

Why hasn't this been submitted to Rebrickable yet, Sariel? I'm waiting but it's not showing up in the MOC queue. Can't you see that people are going crazy ofur it?

Whats with you guys? It is not really a Lego moc with Duplo bear skin on it. Its Paul's hamster! Cant you see???

The fact that you think this is just a testament to the stunning realism of Pawel's stunning creation.

Excellent, this is a whole new level of "How did he do that?" The autonomous maze run feature is unusual, you don't usually see that many semi autonomous Lego things, Mindstorms or otherwise.

Although, I have made a similar, though larger model, based on a hedgehog, which I gave to my sister. Instead of the maze mode, mine rolls into a ball. Which he does often. My sister loves him, and was kind of amazed that I was able to get the cute hedgehog face just right.

*Cough* I'm kidding, but my sister really does have a pet hedgehog, just like Sariel has a pet hamster.

I like it but I don't want to know how you insert the battery pack.

it's not his hamster. it's a high-quality RC creation using- this is the best part- ZERO custom pieces. It also has an almost real artificial intelligence, using classified Lego Mindstorms technology.

Pretty impressive MOC indeed! Not so sure about the suspension setup, but the drive and transmission seem solid! But it looks like the battery placement might interfere with the drive motor. Overall, I give it a :thumbup:

using classified Lego Mindstorms technology.

Mindstorms version 50?

I don't know about the chrome pieces, but I just added a new function: retractable landing gear:
