For voting, at the end of day one it all comes down to gut feeling. No one was ridiculously scummy, but out of everyone, your answers left me the most uneasy, so ...

Vote: Falcon (Mencot)

What in particular makes you uneasy about mencot's answers?

I believe the bullet proof item is very helpful for town. However, I am concerned that some might consider the item vs the person holding it when it comes to a lynch. I see potential problems here. Scum can use a powerful item to keep from getting lynched.

As for Stickfig, I stand by my reasons to lynch him and will add that he hasn't given anything to his defense other than to state what his hair does. I don't feel this is a very towny move to not defend oneself.

I feel like you asked some reasonable questions and instead of a solid answer he fell back on the "I'm new!" response and then voted for someone who seems to be making legitimate "I'm new!" kinds of mistakes. Like I say, it's not very solid, but I think it's better than the others who currently have votes against them.

What happens if the thief stole the vig kill after having had it the day before (I.e. Tammo takes it tomorrow) does that negate the vig kill seeing that he theoriticaly had that headgear today?

No, the thief is stealing the following night's usage, not the past night.

I'm going to

Vote: Superman (Stickfig)

I'm not getting a good townie vibe from his comments during the day, I was already somewhat scum-reading him, and so I'm afraid his revealing the bulletproof might just be a desperate ploy to save himself after seeing the reaction to the vig and thief reveals. A THIRD really good, powerful costume being exposed already seems too much. I'd actually have been less likely to vote for him if he'd claimed his was something weird or lame, like a "mute another player for 12 hours" or something.

I really doubt that anyone would lie about what role they have. Such a claim would be easily disproven tomorrow when someone else picks it up, so it would only buy a scum an extra day. So I'm pretty confident that Superman's hair really is bulletproof.

Has anyone ever known a mod here to do things in the game NOT by random selection? In other words, I'd expect the abilities and costumes to have been paired up randomly. But looking at the 3 that we know, we have War Machine's helmet as a vig and the Flash as a thief. Those both sorta make sense - war machine and killing is obvious, and the flash can run fast enough to be a great thief. Both a bit of a stretch, but it's plausible. And then superman comes in and claims bulletproof. That one is completely obvious. And so I'm not buying it. I think the first two being sort of related is chance and stickfig is lying to us in his claim and thought he could come up with a logical lie. I'm not going to reveal my ability, but I'll just say that I do not see a link between the character and the ability.

I don't know why he'd lie about it - perhaps it's really an ability the scum WANT a townie to take tomorrow? some penalty or something? - but I'm struggling to see it as true.

There is absolutely no link between my role and costume choice...just sayin'.

Before I respond to everyone's posts, I'd like to Unvote: Gandalf (Lind Whisperer) and Vote: Superman (Stickfig).

Superman has blatantly lied; at this stage he cannot be town. If he is, then I will be shocked. I can't go into details yet.

Alright, after reading through the arguments, I've decided to vote for StickFig. As I said earlier, no one really looks overtly scummy, but I have to vote, and StickFig seems like the best option.

Wait, what's this all about? *huh*

I'm pretty sure the costumes and roles are assigned randomly. The majority of our costumes are comprised of killers, thieves and people who are hard to kill. I'm sure you could find some sort of link with any character. It's a lot more plausible that he's telling the truth about his role than lying. Not that that makes Stickfig a townie, of course. I agree that his vote for Jack feels rather arbitrary, and he has had little interest in looking for any alternatives.

Pelly comes to greet the hapless Stickfig.

Stickfig is a little disappointed. "I'm bulletproof! And how can I be lynched? There wasn't even a majority!"

Pelly shakes his head. "..."

"He would like you to be reminded that this is not a game of majority, it is a game of participation. If townies are inactive, it is so much easier for scum to influence the vote," def interprets.

"..."

"And bulletproof is not beam-proof."

Pelly enshrouds him in a beam of pure force, conveniently with a green tinge to match a mild narrative about him being Superman.

After a the smell of singed sticks fills the air, all that remains....

A beautiful pompadour.

Def congratulates his host, "That will make a magnificent first trophy!"
