Actionfigure Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Hello, now I continue after a short respite... This is a great tit. It is pluffed up in the cold. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Lovely, the colors are perfect, liking the peck too. Quote
Balbo Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Amazing work! I really love the colour scheme and the peck! Quote
just2good Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Man, that's a sharp looking tit! I love your accuracy to the tit while using more basic bricks. My favorite part is the use of rubber bands for the talons. Quote
Colossus Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) This would make a great addition to the Lego Ideas birds set, and I really appreciate your creativity...but I've seen better tits. The accompanying twig and berries are nice additions as well! Thanks for sharing! Edited April 5, 2015 by Colossus Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Thank you very much! I know, it is not my very best! But it is difficult to make a tit in life size! ... to find the right part for the tiny beak... Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Cute little bird. When I read the title and who it was by, I thought "tit's a bird", but for some reason I still hoped otherwise. Still, great builds, I really enjoy these Quote
Artanis I Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Who doesn't love to see great tits from every angle? The cute little feet and the wings look good Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Well, I was a little surprised myself, when I read the translation for "Kohlmeise"! I also new the English word for this animal only in another context! Quote
Boxerlego Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Wow! Very stunning details on this bird. You did a fantastic job on capturing the beauty of the Great tit. Quote
Hobbythom Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I love this so much! I've got these in my garden a plenty. Would you be so kind to share the technique for the angled wings? Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Who else clicked here hoping for boobs? :D Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 I love this so much! I've got these in my garden a plenty. Would you be so kind to share the technique for the angled wings? That´nothing special! I just put two parts, called "Rocker Bearing" 393726 (with plate of course) on the sides of 1x1 Brick with four knobs 473326. Quote
Hobbythom Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Great! Thanks for the reply. I am going to try and build one myself. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Nice work in capturing the body frame and colors of this cute bird so well. The use of the black rubber bands in place for the talons is simply inspired and adds another level to the build. I will admit the topic's title was amusingly misleading. Haha. Quote
stevkir Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Beautiful work. Makes me think of the birds set LEGO released from LEGO Ideas, and my wife has that set and proudly displays them on her desk. If she sees this she will want it as well to go with the others. Quote
henrysunset Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I'm surprised how nobody commented that it looks lonely. Tits look better in a pair. P.S. Great model, too! Quote
