ScotNick Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 A brilliant looking harbor with some great equipment. Now you should only flood your room to let ships load and unload there Quote
AlmightyArjen Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Looks very nice, curious about the final situation Quote
UrbanErwin Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The scene looks great, and it definitely has that Belgian industrial park feel to it. Quote
Phoxtane Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The next part I have to replicate is this area of silos. Suggestions on ways to build the silos are welcome. The actual silos could be built with blue 1x2 bricks stacked on top of each other and bent into a circle shape. I'm not sure what diameter a cylinder you'd get from that, but it's a possibility. Maxim I Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Will I ever have the chance to see this in real life at one of the Brickmania-events? :) It so amazing already!!! Quote
ProducePrincess Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Wonderful layout. Judging by the cobblestone brickwork im guessing you also found copious amounts of 1x1 round tiles in pick a brick. I've got 100's of them now. I'm most intrigued by the crane. Do you have any intention of motorizing the winch and turntable inside? It looks like you would have enough space to fit a battery box, receiver, and motor in the grey box section. You might have to use some clever gear work to get everything functional. I'm not 100% sure about how possible it is to make the entire crane move on rails though. If you were willing to make a few visual sacrifices you could power the wheels with a pulley. I wouldn't be skilled enough to make it all work but its worth thinking about. Quote
michaelozzie Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 Hopefully yes I will get it along to Brickmania when its all done. Motorizing the crane is an option I'm considering for later down the track. Also looking at working lights to add to the setup. Quote
legotrainfan Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I love that harbour scene. The crane looks awesome and so do the engines! Quote
Kintobor Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Really beautiful! I love the scene you've done here! Quote
michaelozzie Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Update time again. The first of the cement silos is now almost finished. Very parts heavy on the interior to get the curve right. Still waiting on more Bricklink orders to arrive. Some are being a bit slow [/url] by michaelozzie1, on Flickr by michaelozzie1, on Flickr Quote

michaelozzie Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 Update time. Finished off the tiling now for the wharf which is almost done. Just waiting on parts now to finish the second silo. The next section will be the approaching rail line passing the factory and some houses. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 May I have a closer look of the truck with the train base? It looks very nice and original too! Quote
UrbanErwin Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I've followed the progress on Flickr, it is really looking great! Quote
baard Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Great MOC! Lots of nice details and colors. Keep it coming! Quote
michaelozzie Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Update time. Well the wife wanted this out of the living room so I built a desk which doubles as my Lego building corner for in the bedroom. She's not impressed it is taking up space there now but tough luck haha. Anyway this is how it looks now. Finally moved to its new home. by Michael, on Flickr Quote
JopieK Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Really great michaelozzie! Your wallet might not be pleased with it though ;) Maybe you could later add some humor to make it even more vivid!!! Although I saw in the rules of BeLUG that humor was forbidden (with a long list of other things including religion and spirits/beer). Fortunately my wife has the largest LEGO buildings (large technic and modular haha :)), but the principle sounds very familiar to a lot of us I think. Quote
Dread Pirate Rob Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Absolutely sensational! Thank you for providing updates, it has been inspiring to see this grow. The thing I like most about this build is the colour palette. You have kept it industrial and functional, yet have worked in some beautiful blues and yellows that offset the paving. Great work. If you are going to impose on the bedroom, I can recommend from experience investing in a two fold room divider to block the line-of-sight. It makes for a much happier room and is easy to move when you need to access the bricks. Quote
