Sandy Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 "Jimmimiah scripted this scroll himself. Jimmimiah thinks scroll is worth 150 Gold, but Jimmimiah not have a big scroll collection. T'would be a terrible thing if scroll fell into wrong hands though." "So you are certain there are no other means to control Scarlet Worms besides your scrolls? Well, something is driving them mad, in any case..."
Waterbrick Down Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 "Will do. Thank ye, friend." Nur made his way towards Ellaria and Jimmimiah but stopped at the young looking dwarf. "'Ello there. Headin' into the mines for work too?" "No, I'm waiting for my fiance to get off his shift." "So you are certain there are no other means to control Scarlet Worms besides your scrolls? Well, something is driving them mad, in any case..." "Who knows, there might be someone taming them, but that goes beyond my wizard training."
CMP Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 "Oh this is just the slag, it works for a building material, but that's about it. There's plenty of Mythril, it just ships directly from smelting onto the rail system on the lower level." "Rail system? Don't think I've seen anythin' like that in my trek across your cities. Where's it lead?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 "Rail system? Don't think I've seen anythin' like that in my trek across your cities. Where's it lead?" "Ya missed the whole set of rails and scaffolding on your way here? The mined mythril is smelted and refined here before it's sent on its way to the Eastern Depot. Some of it goes directly to Brumpknob for turning into weapons, armor, and all sorts of things the rest continues on its way to the Western Depot and is unloaded onto boats at Krumpknob and shipped out to the rest of the mainland."
Jebediahs Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 "No, I'm waiting for my fiance to get off his shift." "Ah...he a Gratin' Golem?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 "Ah...he a Gratin' Golem?" "Um, no he's on the Quakers. Three shifts on, three shift off is how it works around here."
Sandy Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 "Who knows, there might be someone taming them, but that goes beyond my wizard training." "Thanks for your insight, Jimmimiah, and good day to you." Ellaria said and returned to the others. She bit her tongue to say more, for she felt frustrated to run into false leads all the time. She did not want to vent off towards innocent citizens... "That wizard over there has a pretty useful scroll he would be willing to part with for 150 gold", Ellaria told the party. "I'm totally broke, as usual, but perhaps you guys are interested."
Peppermint_M Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Tesni listened in. She had met some old rock-rats in her days in the mountains.
Jebediahs Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 "Um, no he's on the Quakers. Three shifts on, three shift off is how it works around here." "Indeed." Nur looked up as Ellaria approached. "My pockets are also bare. I am ready to head farther down though."
Waterbrick Down Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 The Party decides there's nothing much else for them on the current level and after some time locate a set of stairs leading down to the second level. "Nothing too fancy for the most part. There's a tavern, Orrik's Tankard or something like that, an emporium for supplies, and over there is the miners' union headquarters." QM Note: The Rail Map puzzle has been fixed, there were two identical pieces uploaded which made it unsolvable. Feel free to PM the solution at anytime for experience. My apologies for any frustration it might have led to.

CMP Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Atramor looks impressed by Figaro's wares, purchasing a Magic Shovel before looking over the pair of canaries he has sitting outside. The drafter seems drawn perhaps by instinctive familiarity to the birds, extending one finger to let one of the tiny canaries hop into it, tweeting shrilly. "...well, this one seems more...normal." He hands over a total of 60 gold, but then his eye is drawn to the back of the Rockling's shop. "The hell is- hey, mate, ya' don't happen to have a back door or, well, an assistant, do ya'?" Atramor ambles towards the back of the shop, looking around. "I swear I just saw somethin' back here..."

Jebediahs Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Nur shrugged as Atramor asked for a loan. He removed his Sedge Hat and donned the Cobra Memes. It was much more comfortable when underground. He walked toward the dwarf with a magnifying glass. "Greetings gentlemen, Might this be the Union entrance?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 "Aye, it sure is. No meeting today though." Atramor remains in the tunnel like alley behind the shop and as he turns to return to his group, finds a bright shining mythril shard squished into the mud. Mythril Shard (One quarter of a full Mythril ore, used for mythrilizing weapons.)
CMP Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 "What the hell..." Atramor frowns, picking up the Mythril Shard. He uses his shiny new Magic Shovel to dig underneath where he found it.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Atramor does a little more digging and only finds a bone.
