Nur attempts to take advantage of the spores while they're blue and rest but becomes uneasy when the spore color changes. In this foreign setting, he recognizes the need for diplomacy.

"Oh he did, Miss. The good Doctor is a mistress of potion making and these traveling companions, including myself are indeed her protectors as well."

The spores turn back to blue as the beguiling feeling and emotions of insatiable curiosity that had previously filled the heroes thoughts subsided.

8061733123_43105ab314_t.jpg

"Ah I see. Yes the underground is definitely a place of prosperity, but also danger. Have you encountered troubles on your journey thus far?"

Ellaria nudged Tesni, who inadvertedly had steered away from their back-up story. "She only meant that she is not a merchant, but my bodyguard. Strictly speaking, I am not here to sell anything, either, but to establish a new trade route for the latest products of the alchemist's guild. Surely you would be interested in adding new wares to your stock, Madame Meladonna?"

8061733123_43105ab314_t.jpg

"I would indeed be interested. I'd be willing to pay a fair price as well. Some of the finer distilled items are harder to come by down here, Meads, Smelling Salts, Nostrums, I'd be willing to pay double down here for them. Or if you had something other wares you're touting?"

"Er, milady...professor....doctor Arbor is the certified merchant here. Another buyer? Ah...got it." Atramor set the Mythril down, scratching his head.

8061733123_43105ab314_t.jpg

"Yes, Mythril is becoming a rather sought after commodity these days. If you're interested in that chunk you'll have to speak to Ms. Thisbeen, she lives down by the docks."

"Ah, good to hear there is interest! I will be delivering your requests to the Guild. Pray tell, are there any other merchants around the town?"

"Aye, we encountered a welcoming group of rather large leeches inhabiting the waters immediately leading into your city. They were quite fierce. Might ye be able to tell us of what other creatures occur naturally in this expansive underdark part of the world? The information would be quite helpful to know in keeping the Doctor as safe as possible during her visit."

"Krumpknob has a good number of merchants, though I'm not sure any of them would be able to provide you with goods fit for an adventuring lifestyle like yours or your companions. The fish market down by the docks does dredge up an interesting trinket now and again, and you can always find culinary delights nearby at the Frisky Fish Tavern."

"Yes, the leeches are a bit of problem come this time of year, spawning and all. As far as other creatures of the undermountain, there's always wild golems to watch out for, scarlet worms, rust-hoppers, giant mole-rats, and lava larvae."

Atramor pulls a Smelling Salts out of his coat.

"So this'd cover that Scroll of Translation, then? Could come in handy in this line of work. As a bodyguard."

"Rats. Just...yeah. Of course. Rats." Atramor sighs as if in resignation.

"Thank you, but I think we are done here. We will be in touch about the merchandise, but for now we have to visit the town's mayor, or council, or elders, or what have you got."

Ellaria motioned for her companions that they should head back out.

"Well Krumpknob has a clan chief, Kulbin Krumpkin, but most of the affairs of all three cities under the mountain are determined by the head chief who happens to reside currently in Brumpknob, his home clan. You're free to visit Kulbin though, he lives a little to the east of here."

"Our quest is just beginning! This place will undoubtedly provide us with many an opportunity to take advantage of your particular skill set." Nur also grins before looking to the docks a moment then all around trying to determine which way was east.

The Party heads east. Further down the docks the group passes a Teuthisal fishmonger and note a lone dwarf sitting in a rocking chair watching group of dockworkers unloading a boatload of cargo.

"Someone go talk to the Teuthisal, I'll handle the dwarf."

Ellaria approached the dwarf in the chair, donning back the upper class aura.

"Are you Chief Kulbin, perchance? I am Doctor Arbour, representative of Eubric's guild of alchemists. I wish to talk business with the fine folk of the three dwarven cities."

As Ellaria approaches the Dwarf she notes, his right arm, left leg, and left eye have all been replaced with cog-works.

"No need to shout my dear, I can hear you just fine now." The dwarf chuckles. "Sorry 'bout that, being partially deaf gives me an excuse to not bother with the trollop folks are always bringing to me. Soddin' nuisances." The dwarf pauses a moment to shout at the dock workers, "Put your backs into it, I can lift better than that with only one good arm." The dwarf turned back to Ellaria, "Now where were we? "That they do, the issue you see isn't just lettin' one of you surface dwellers setting up shop down here, it's more an issue of where do you draw the line. My people are a proud one and they wouldn't want anyone coming down here and takin' their rightful work. While such products as yours do indeed interest me and I think they'd be finely appreciated down here, the issue's a much bigger one and out of my jurisdiction I'm afraid. You'll have to speak to the Head Chief about it, but you can at least be assured that you've peaked my interest. Strange though, can't think of many surface dwellers who'd willingly want to leave the light, I'd suggest you spend some more time down here before making a decision, it's quite an undertaking, really."
