The problem is that this guy was just being lazy I think. My order consists of roughly 300 parts, and if you're effective then you can pick, pack and post the parts within an hour...

Pisses me off..

Well that's good news!! Still waiting with excitement to see your project up and running

Your only option is to leave negative feedback describing your experience and not buy from him again. Most BL sellers are good, but I have found a few like you describe. They take my money and then don't send me anything for weeks or months. One guy waited 4 months and never sent anything. I had to file charges of fraud before he refunded my money, but I still never got any parts.

Yeah, that's true. Some people can really give you a hard time.

Just got in touch with the seller and he said that he will send the parts today... Sigh, another week of waiting. Anyway, I've recieved one order, though it is missing some parts. So my project is still on hold.

Yea!!! It looks like you and I had similar ideas for the car...... just different methods of doing it. I also had to replace the whole driveline etc.... for my RC (Titan motor) version. Although the transmission on the model works great..... I found it too cumbersome and missing a lot of the gears. Also, although you likely will not have this problem.....I found my RC motor did not have enough torque to drive the model, so..the transmission was not all helpful because gear 4 and 5 burned the motor out.....

I also have added a pneumatic motor to a model (unimog). Remember to use some form of lubricant. The high RPMs of the pneumatic motor will burn your elements out if not lubricated.

looking forward to your model when completed......

Sweet! My car project was a little on ice... Last week, finally, I got my order in the mailbox! So now I can carry on.

Both the front and rear axle are done and work properly.

Today, then plan is to test the CVT-box and ensure that it delivers high amount of torque

Perfect..... one word of caution. In my project (you probably already saw the post....if not here it is.. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109820) I found that when increasing the speed of the mustang it bounces all around in the back. The suspension is too weak (or back end too heavy). I even took out the battery pack in the back and just went straight and same thing happened. I would recommend doubling up the shocks back there.... although I haven't looked at it.... not sure it is configured for that. Just a recommendation.

Thx dude, but you can trust me ;) my rear suspension is very stiff and nice with the setup I have. Check this:

Rear swing-arm suspension, rear wheel drive with 20:28 geardown (final ratio).

Rear anti-roll bar

Shock absorbers with damper bodies (big pneumatic cylinders with hard spring inserts from 9.5L shock absorbers)

As for universal joints for the drive shaft (from CVT-gearbox to rear axle) I'm using pulley wheels combined with pins for extra stiffness

CVT-gearbox works like a charm. Stepless shifting in order to overcome the resistant torque in the output shaft. And it works very smoothly!

Maybe I'll share an .lxf-file if you want it. No promises though :)
