I was bored one day, so I decided to build the 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter in LDD, then, I took a copy of it, changed around some colors, and pieces, and I ended up with this

UPDATE: Physical build

LDD versions

It looks good! There are a few bits from Anikan's Starfighter I think you could take off, but it still looks good the way it is. Your best bet for parts is to download LDD Manager, run te LFX through there, and then put the XML into Bricklink. From there, you can order all the needed parts. I hope my description is thorough enough, and great build.

Thanks! But I tried to keep in the same style as Anikins's starfighter kind of like how all those Clone Wars Jedi Starfighters were very similar, but what parts do you feel are unnecessary? And I'll consider LDD manager for the parts I need.

It's less of unnecessary parts and more that the set you based it on is a loose representation of the Jedi starfighter style. The design of the tail fin isn't the same as most other Jedi starfighters (theirs is a more solid rectangle) and the tip of it is a bit long, and the cheese slopes on the end look kinda out of place. It's just my opinion though. Whether or not you change it is completely up to you.

Well I'm still trying to figure out how to get the solid rectangle shape at the end of the ship, so I just have the fin, like the set it's based on. Do you know how I can get one of the flag pieces to fit into the end?

I would look at Sasee Tin's Starfighter. That one had the same cockpit shape as this one, and used some tiles to create the fin. It worked really well, and I'm sure that it could be made bigger and work perfectly here.

Thanks, I try that out, I mainly wanted to avoid using that (IMO) ugly cockpit shape of the usual Jedi Starfighter

I made It look like Sasee Tin's tail, and I must say it looks better, thank you for the tip!

It looks good, but the cockpit seems a little high?

The pictures don't seem to be working.

edit: problem was on my end.

I smoothed out the middle a little bit, I also lowered the cockpit a little as well, I'll post some pictures when I get the chance. Edited by IronFish

It looks great! Given how many rehashed vehicles we get every year, it wouldn't surprise me if we got a new Starfighter like this in the near future, maybe it could include an updated Jango Fett and a Kaminoan! I'd buy it.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing.

I wish they'd remake this set so I can display is next to the UCS and the Planet Serie's ones.

Your recreation of Obi Wan's jedi starfighter is very, very nice.

Thanks! I tried to make it look like what a remade version would look like, when I get it all built I'll post some instructions.

I'll look forward to seeing it in real bricks, it looks great in LDD!

thanks! I made a few minor changes to it from the LDD model, and I think it looks a little better.

How's that?

I wanted to draw attention to the physical version of the moc, so I made another thread for it, without the "[LDD MOC]" so now this thread has the same name as that one.
