Hello All,

My Lego Idea is live today!

pbs.jpg

https://ideas.lego.com/projects/99831

Transparent light blue panels were used to ensure the polar bear's lower body and other fish swimming by could clearly be seen. The white polar ice is detachable. And the transparent light blue surface ice that it sits on is hinged for easy access and play below the water line. The expressions on the Eskimo minifigure's heads were chosen to express the surprise of the fisherman and sense of stunned wonder of his partner, as he holds back their husky from jumping into the water.

Proceeds will benefit the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). To be put toward their ongoing conservation efforts in preserving polar bears.

Please vote and pass it on. ;)

Cheers,

Duncan

Its a neat build, I like the underwater view and the way the fish are positioned with the trans pieces. However to be in line with EB policies you should probably make your post more about the MOC (pics etc) and not just a request for support.

Adding just a bit to what Vorkosigan mentioned; Eurobricks doesn't want to exist as advertising portal, so it would probably be a good idea to ask a Mod to change your title to [MOC]: Polar Bear Encounter. I think more people will be more interested to have a look in that case too.

Anyways, your MOC looks really great. I really love the above+under water 3d scenes like this. You've tied them together nicely with the polar bear breaking through the ice. I think the only thing I'd personally change would be to make the snow have a no studs on top look and add some curved bricks to simulate snow drifts.

Why did you decide to post this in the General forum? I've moved the thread to Town.

Also, please review the Site Guidelines on using EB to promote ideas projects. I've changed the title of your thread accordingly.

Hi Rick,

Sorry about that. I wasn't sure where to put it. I had PM'd one of the other MODs. It's the first time I submitted anything to Lego Ideas, so I'm trying to figure a lot of things out as I go. Thank you for moving this to the right place.

Cheers,

Duncan

Nice little scene, well built, cute and funny. I supported it :)

Regarding the feedback you got:I don't think there is enough space for another dog. And i have no opinion about a female instead of male - it doesn't make much of a difference to me.

My turn to suggest something: would you have some space to add something else in the water? I was thinking about a manta ray or an octopus..

I think for the size of this set there is no need for more animals, fish or other mini figures as I feel it has a great balance of everything. People will request more of those no matter what because they always want more. Really, if you want to add more huskies, then just create a sled with 4 sled dogs that goes with this set and I am sure people will go wild over it.

I fully support #217 you and hope you get this to 10,000 for a chance at it being produced, as it is different with above and below views and love that aspect of this build.

Shame it didn't get to 10,000 given all the press about it. You should sell it as a MOC on Bricklink.com that way you can still donate any proceeds.
