Hi, my name is Tony and these are my first attempts at Lego trains. The Emerald night is built from Bricklink purchased bricks and downloaded instructions while the grey and black loco is a modification of the Constitution built from bricks I had in my assorted bricks and Bricklink purchases.

I am in the process of modifying the Constitution Mod to have working connecting rods as seen on RailBricks.

Cheers

The Constitution tender looked undersized to my eyes so I copied the EN tender design in a colour scheme that matched the loco. The Emerald Night tender is not in dark green as yet as collecting the needed bricks in dark green has been tricky so far.

I hope to do a version of the alternate Emerald Night carriage seen on railbricks as a load for the EN loco.

Comments are welcome.

Cheers

Tony

They look good. My only suggestion would be to reduce the firebox (the larger part of the boiler) on the western loco. I've never seen a steam engine who's firebox takes half the loco, lol.

Cheers Redimus, I was more looking at the enlarged area being an enlarged water tank, making it a semi tank engine. Either way I was modding on the fly so it ended up not being based on a specific engine...... :classic:

Nice work. I agree on shrinking the size of the firebox on the 4-6-0 locomotive or extending out the bows to go down the whole length of the boiler.
