Actually, it runs May 2nd - 9th. :classic:

It actually depends on the country. For US, it's from May 2nd to 4th. I also got the card that states that

Another ISD and AT AT more than likely. Does anyone have the skinny on what sets will be 10% off?

I went to a Lego Store yesterday and asked that same question. The answer "kinda" surprised me: only confired for now is the DS. I followed up with a question about that being related to the rumors of retirement and a a potential new DS next year and he said that's what they've been told and that's why they tell people that DS is most certainly the one to be discounted.

Also, it is "highly unlikely" that any set would be discounted more then 10%.

Only the Phantom and a battle pack or something to get to 55 euro. Won't buy the UCS Tie Fighter (yet), because 1. I'm not quite fond of the model and 2. it's stupidly overpriced. Slave 1 just arrived, and that thing's gorgeous!

Thanks for the info! I hope the TCW sets are discounted too, because they are likely to be the last for a long time. The cannon in particular would be a good choice (plus a battle pack to get to the 55 Euro - I want that Yularen).

PS: could the Yularen DS minifig foreshadow a new DS set?

Thanks for the information. I would assume that same sales will apply stateside? Interesting that hints keep getting dropped on the old DS being retired for a new model. Look forward to the upcoming year to see if that rumor comes to pass.

10% off a DS huh....hmmm....might be hard to resist buying one.

I seriously hope Slave 1 gets discounted

I don't think they will unfortunately, as it was only released a couple of months ago and seems to be selling very well! I think it's more likely that the Death Star, UCS X-Wing, UCS Sandcrawler & Ewok Village may be on the list, with a mixture of the smaller sets (B-Wing, Mos Eisley Cantina, MTT etc).

I'm quite looking forward to making a couple of orders, the Admiral Yularen minifigure is the best May 4th promo that they've had for several years :classic:

I'll probably pick up the Wookiee Gunship on the 2nd, that or maybe the TIE Advanced Prototype and a battlepack - depends what works out as being a better deal on the day while still getting me over the £50 SW merchandise threshold. Sure I can pick up the Gunship for £50 somewhere, but IMO, Yularen is more attractive - even more so if the gunship gets a 10% discount. Here's to wishful thinking

The only other problem I have is in the shape of the Jurassic World sets. I just can't afford them all in one go along with the planned SW purchases :look:

Yeah I kind of guessed.

I'm torn between getting the Ewok Village or the Slave I. If anyone can give me their 2 cents on which set is worth the purchase I appreciate it, I'm just stuck at a crossroads.

I don't have the ewok village but my opinion is EV is more a playset and Slave 1 is a display piece. Slave 1 looks awesome on the shelf!

Buy the Ewok Village first since the Slave I came out a couple of months ago. I have both of them and they are both gorgeous to look at. The Slave I looks cooler and the Ewok Village has a lot of action going on in it so it's a very nice display model.

I have both (funnily enough, the only two large SW sets I've ever bought!), so I guess I can offer an opinion.

If you plan on getting both in the future, I'd get Ewok Village first since that came out in 2013 and it's at risk from sudden retirement (unless of course, it pulls a Death Star). Ewok Village is a very nice set for both play and display and there's plenty of stuff going on to keep you interested. The only bit I didn't like was the net which was permanently closed, but it's quite an easy modification, all you need is a 5 link chain and 2 21 link chains and you can make a working net trap. Also, if you like minifigures, Ewok Village is definitely the set for you.

Slave I is more of a display piece and has some very interesting building techniques, so if you prefer building and displaying, Slave I is the way to go. The minifigures are simply extra goodness, especially the new Boba Fett. Plus, it has a lower price tag (at least in my country, I have no idea about pricing in yours) so it also has a better price per piece.

I would really like to have the Admiral Yularen minifig, but in the US, the threshold is $75, and it has to be all in Star Wars purchases! I cannot afford the big $200 sets, and already have the other OT sets I want right now. We are planning on going to the Lego store this Saturday, but not necessarily for Star Wars sets.

And yes, I am trying to figure out how that Tie Fighter is worth $200.

I really want to know if Canada and the US will get the 10% off. I love getting the promo mini-figure but a discount would be nice. I miss the 15% off five items at the Lego shop for May the 4th.

Will they be giving away the free poster in the us too? What is the poster that they are giving away in this promo.

They have "LEGO-ized" versions of movie posters for all six movies, like this:

image.jpg6.jpg

They're all based on the six main Drew Struzan posters for the 1997-2005 releases & re-releases of the six live-action movies (i.e., the individual posters for the 1997 Special Edition releases of the three OT movies, plus the main original release posters for the three prequel episodes). They just gave out all six of them at Star Wars Celebration a couple weeks ago, and as I understand it, they'll apparently start giving them out at LEGO Stores and Shop@Home next month for May the Fourth, but continue with them for six months. I might be misinformed, but as far as I can tell, apparently they'll use May the Fourth as kind of the kickoff of a countdown to Episode VII, and give out a different one of the posters each month for the next six months - so, probably the Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace poster next month along with the other SW promos, then the Star Wars - Episode II: Attack of the Clones poster in June, and so on, until finishing with Star Wars - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi in October.

If this is the case (which, again, I don't know for certain just yet), I'm wondering whether they might intend to continue with a seventh poster in November, for Star Wars - Episode VII: The Force Awakens. It's only natural that there wouldn't be one yet, since the regular non-LEGO poster it would be based on hasn't appeared yet, of course. But again, I don't know for sure. All I really know is that they're supposed to start giving out these posters next month, but it could be that all six will be available at once, individually (one per purchase) or as a complete set with purchase, randomly or by choice of movie, whatever.
