Well, there has to be atleast 1 UCS-set discounted. I'm missing the latest 4 UCSs to complete my collection, but crossing fingers for atleast the Sandcrawler!

If they are discounting any ucs set my guess would be they do it on the red 5 x wing.

Not sure why the 'has' to be a discounted UCS...

but either way, it'll have to be the UCS TIE for me, I have everything else from SW that I want, not counting the Death Star, and even 10% (heck, not even 25%) off on that doesn't get it into my budget.

Yep, I am buying the new ucs tie also. So I will get the free mini fig with that purchase plus I have about $100 in vip credits so I will only have to shell out $100 to buy it.

Thank you for that reminder. Even if it did get marked down to half price ($350!) I would probably pass. Especially if an updated one might be just around the corner.

In my experience, the only sets that get discounted are ones I already have or huge ones I don't want to pay that much for, and could've bought at a sale for less. We shall see!

Thought process --> They got 4 UCS in the shop right now, personal feeling is that it would be weird if non of them got that 10% off. And as said in the forum, it will probably not be any of the 2 latest ones, maybe not even the Sandcrawler.

But just some speculations (and hopes).

Lego shop is still not available here in Turkey, so I am missing this year's promo, too... I will have to pay some inflated price for Yularen figure.

Hothbricks has a list of which sets have discount on them:

10188 Death Star - € 432.99 - € 389.69

10236 Ewok Village - € 272.99 - € 245.69

10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter - € 219.99 - € 197.99

75052 Mos Eisley Cantina - € 88.99 - € 80.09

75054 AT-AT - € 130.99 - 117.89 €

75055 Imperial Star Destroyer - € 142.99 - € 128.69

75058 MTT - € 99.99 - € 89.99

75059 Sandcrawler - € 320.99 - € 288.89

75085 Hailfire Droid - € 26.99 - € 24.29

75086 Battle Droid Troop Carrier - € 49.99 - € 44.99

75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter - € 49.99 - € 44.99

I fear already... that I will buy too much.

Thanks TWP, that's interesting

I was determined not to buy the Ewok Village because, well it has Ewoks, but I get the feeling that it could be nearing the end of it's production run. Perhaps I'll get the Sandcrawler instead, it looks quite an interesting build.

Is this a late April fools joke?

Since these are € prices....let's compare them with Amazon Germany.

The cantina is € 70

ISD is € 110

AT-AT is € 103

That's 10, 8 and 25 (!) euros cheaper than the discounted (!) LegoShop prices........

I paid € 70, 90 and 90 for these sets last year, and I'm sure a lot of people paid the same or even less.

I don't get the hype regarding 'May the 4th' Lego-wise. (except the Yularen fig that is)

PS: is € 143 really the RRP of the ISD? Even the expensive toy stores have it for € 130.......

I know that in the past the EU sales and the US sales are not the same, so for those asking (ISDAvenger), I don't know that we'll get the same sets on discount.

Hi

i had the same (bad) feeling about this. Usually Lego in German online shops is 20% off Legos MRSP. If there are are special discounts that adds, you will end of 30-40% cheaper than Lego SAH MRSP.

For example i got the Cantina for 53€, including free delivery... I paid less than 90€ for my AT-AT...

So i am accepting these "discounted" prices as long thex dont add 15€ or more to other online store prices, becaus thats the value of the fig (eBay germany, few days after the first sale).

Unfortunately we will never ever have discounts as in the US at SAH where they sold the UCS B-wing fot 99$, where we got it "discounted" for 189€, which meant in the past almost 250$...

Lege germany always made jokes about the 55€ limit to get the fig. They discounted the "cheap" 29.99€ Sets this ways that two of these dont hit 55€... Clever....

May the force 4this a hype in Germany like Halloween - we dont get something special and we dont understand it, but HEY, its cool...

I am wondering if it is to do with the exchange rate of the Euro. While the rrp is £109 for the AT-AT, €130 seems slightly excessive compared to what I would have thought it would have been. If I remember rightly (and please do correct me if I'm wrong, I am just going from memory), the difference between UK and EU prices weren't that much. Seeing as the Euro has lost it's value a slight bit (I remember when it was sitting at 1.13 per £ for ages) down to 1.39 per £, i am wondering if this is the cause for the apparent ludicrously expensive rrp prices in the EU?

Does anyone have the sets and price reductions for the U.S.? Am I too assume they will be the same sets and discounts?

Do not assume, last year they also discounted Red Five in Europe and when I went to the store it unfortunately was not

Those prices seem to be the MSRPs for the French shop. The German MSRP is already ~10% less than that, so hopefully we'll get better prices than those shown on Hothbricks.

Indeed; the ISD for example is 129,99 in German Lego Stores. With the discount it is roughly on Amazon.de-level, currently a bit below.

While you may not save a lot of money for non-exclusive sets, or even make no saving at all, you still get the points and an exclusive minifig. I would not call it a huge must buy deal, and if you don't care for the minifig you can pass it easily. If you do care however, I don't see anything bad about it other than that it could have been a greater discount. (What has it been in the past?).

... and, of course, I for one am disappointed for the lack of discount on the TCW sets!

Let's see if the german LEGO Online store even lists the Yularen as bonusfigure... I thought to get a Mini AT-DP with my order in January... but nope... not for us! I got a LEGO City "Flower-cart" instead...

If they have it, I might look into getting the MTT... having a ton of 20%off coupons for the Legoland-store purchases its still expensive with "only" 10% off, but my son would really love it, and the Yularen would be worth the extra 10€ to me...

All I know is I'm way behind on getting lots of current Star Wars sets I want, and for once I actually have a little money to work with, so I'll definitely get something; I just don't know what. It'd help if I knew what stuff would be on sale, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. But honestly, even if the only Mt4 bonuses I get are the Yularen minifigure and the poster(s), those are still enough for me, given that I want way more stuff than I'll need to buy to get those anyway.

The flyer I got from Lego said so ("Gratis Admiral Yularen Minifigur für jeden Lego Star Wars Einkauf über 55€!"). However it also mentions "solange der Vorrat reicht".

In any case, I'll just ask at the store whether or not I get him before I buy something.

I'm VIP, too... regular buying sets and parts from the store and at Legoland, but the flyer was adressed to my wife who ordered one time only last year... Crazy!

But I also got a mailing from LEGO today, too

Hi

how did you get flyers from Lego in Germany? Btw i am a VIP as too.

Dino

Got mine on Monday by post. Don't know yet if I really want to spend money on LSW, besides the ISD and a couple of micro fighters there is really nothing I would want right now - and I have a feeling the ISD falls short compared to the Shuttle Tyridium - and perhaps even the new Falcon. Better to save my credits for those.
