Posted April 15, 20159 yr Well, it`s not THIS Castle Black, but it`s black so... It`s Castle Black. My lastest creation. 5x7 baseplates 32x32. Special thanks to Darek Mróz, Sariel and Jetboy who helped me with the photos. I have to say that I`m not quite satisfied with the landscape. It should be bigger nad more detailed. There should be cemetary and small chapel, more spooky trees ect... But it consumed a lot of my time nad money so it is like it is. Enjoy :D More photos here: https://www.flickr.c...57651962993212/ Edited April 15, 20159 yr by kris kelvin
April 15, 20159 yr It is a very impressive build. Can you add more close up photos to the Flickr stream?
April 15, 20159 yr Im not usually a fan of all black builds but you have enough color and texture in there to break it up. Great job!
April 16, 20159 yr Wow, I really like the entrance gate with the turbaned statues. Very cool In the black & white picture one of the trees looks like there's cobwebs in it or something, any chance of a close-up of those trees? Would love to see how you pulled that off!
April 16, 20159 yr I like it very much but erm... Why is the big minifig not built out of lego also? D
April 18, 20159 yr Author Sorry for my late reply. Thanks all for nice words. It`s always for me :) Can you add more close up photos to the Flickr stream? There are more photos in my friend`s flickr photostream. Here: I love it is there an inside? Unfortunately not. In the black & white picture one of the trees looks like there's cobwebs in it or something, any chance of a close-up of those trees? Would love to see how you pulled that off! Maybe here: page4/ I like it very much but erm... Why is the big minifig not built out of lego also? Well..., my wife prefers flesh and blood :D Once again, thanks all :)
April 28, 20159 yr This reminds me of a storybook castle for some reason. The black color scheme is unique and the design is very good. It looks right at home in the first photo - spooky, creepy, forbidding. Yes, the landscaping is sparse but still the base is well-textured and besides I don't envision lots of big trees around a black castle anyway! Yet another wonderful build, Kris.
