Chrism191 Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Hey all. So my lego 9398 crawler has been running great for its entire life until just recently. I noticed that the steering has been significantly delayed lately. When I try to, say, back it up and turn and then go forward and turn the other way, the steering will take a good while before the tires turn the other way. This can be annoying, especially because i changed the gears to make it really fast, but when there isnt responsive steering its hard to control because when you want it to make quick movements it isn't responsive. Is there a way to fix this? Quote
Saberwing40k Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 How many times have you replaced the batteries? This sounds like a classic low battery symptom. Also, due to the changed gearing, you may be having issues with current draw. Also, check to see if the receiver has line of sight to the remote, and, as a last thing, check the controller and its batteries. Quote

I thought the batteries could be the issue, i mean i have never changed them and it has been like two years so i'm going to try that and see if it works Quote
kandykop Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Not only the battery. The battery box could be the problem. I heard someone changed battery, the performance still suffer until he replaced it with a new battery box. The reason is metal oxidation. Quote
