The idea sounds cool, I'm a fan of both, but there would be creative issieus. Lego figures are a certain way of presenting people. The Simpsons stille is also a certain way of presenting people. I don't know if it would turn out right if it somehow happend twice.

I saw some Kubrick Simpsons once and they were nice, but not really great.

I wouldn't think LEGO would do this because this would mean a lot of new molds on top of what they're doing already, and this also would mean more licencing rights, the company might get into financial trouble again like they did a few years back.

You do know that no one has posted in this topic for over a year, right? Plus, we have too many licensed themes already, we don't need another one (Unless we can swap Ben 10 out for this  ). Plus the Simpsons are way past their prime (but I still love the old ones, by the way), and are targeted towards teens and adults, while LEGO targets children. I don't think it will happen.

Though I disagree with the Simpsons being out of their prime, I agree with every other point.

Generally, you should only revive old topics if you truely have something interesting and discussion-worthy to say. For instance, it would be perfectly fine for me to post this glorious image of me as a Simpson:

No. The Simpsons are boring these days, and I'm sure the sets would be too. Besides, they would be too cartoony to be used with anything else.

This would never ever happen. I don't think that people in other countries than America watch it, Lego doesn't like to do TV shows, its for a too mature audience, there getting very old... There are just way to many reasons that this would never happen.

Lego doesn't like to do TV shows

Well, LEGO did Spongebob, The Clone Wars, and even a short lived Avatar series, and have a license to make Ben 10 sets, so I don't think that they have a problem making sets based on TV shows. But I still don't think they'll ever do the simpsons.

You forgot what else he said: It's also for a more mature audience. Lego has no problem doing kid's shows, I think Galidor was even a kid's show. At least, I think I remember seeing it on TV.

I don't think that people in other countries than America watch it,

Excuse me, but The Simpsons are still very popular here in Finland. There's re-runs of the series running constantly on the TV, and the movie was quite a success here as well. Sure, the popularity of the longest-running animation series ever is diminishing here as well, but still, everyone here knows who The Simpsons are, at least.

That being said, I don't think The Simpsons will ever make it to a full-fledged theme, but I wouldn't mind seeing a collector's item Simpson House made with LEGO. It would be quite expensive with all the new molds required to make the characters, but I can imagine they could pull it off.

It's just that there's not much demand for such a set, and I doubt TLG would even consider making it without a big demand from both AFOls and The Simpsons fans. :sceptic:

Earth to Tom - did you know there's another world out there! America is just a glimps of the world, it even doesn't cover up half the space than the seas and oceans do! Did you know we are aware of the existance of Southpark, Garfield, Superman? :hmpf:

Sidenote: don't take this personnal, I was just amazed by that sentence and I'm in a pretty good mood to make (stupid) jokes :cry_happy:

It would be nice to have these Simpsons figures as Lego figs to collect but that's where it ends.

edit: spelling, again..

I also watch The Simpsons when I can. But I don't want to see them in LEGO. Not because it is cartoonish (Spongebob is also popular, isn't it?) but there are too many licensed themes already. One or two (or none) licensed themes are enough.
