Indy565 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 This probably might not work because LEGO is turning every minifig into a fleshie and The SImpsons would require yellow skin. Quote

Millacol88 Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 This would be a good idea but i doubt lego will do it. Quote
Bobskink Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 The idea sounds cool, I'm a fan of both, but there would be creative issieus. Lego figures are a certain way of presenting people. The Simpsons stille is also a certain way of presenting people. I don't know if it would turn out right if it somehow happend twice. I saw some Kubrick Simpsons once and they were nice, but not really great. Quote
Derek Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Its funny that you should revieve this topic b/c i just posted 15 summod Simpsons mf decals in the Mf customization Workshop! :-D :-D Dp8 Quote
Inertia Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 (edited) I wouldn't think LEGO would do this because this would mean a lot of new molds on top of what they're doing already, and this also would mean more licencing rights, the company might get into financial trouble again like they did a few years back. Tinn-man Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 You do know that no one has posted in this topic for over a year, right? Plus, we have too many licensed themes already, we don't need another one (Unless we can swap Ben 10 out for this ). Plus the Simpsons are way past their prime (but I still love the old ones, by the way), and are targeted towards teens and adults, while LEGO targets children. I don't think it will happen. Quote

Ya, I know... I like bringing bzck old topics... Anyways, you are right. But then again, they're realesing LEGO Prince of Persia, and some of those games are rated M. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 good god no! LEGO has already given itself to too many other things, and as much as I am a HUGE Simpsons fan, I would not like to see them as LEGOs Quote

But then again, they're realesing LEGO Prince of Persia, and some of those games are rated M. Generally, you should only revive old topics if you truely have something interesting and discussion-worthy to say. For instance, it would be perfectly fine for me to post this glorious image of me as a Simpson: Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Nah. But then again, they're realesing LEGO Prince of Persia, and some of those games are rated M They're for Jerry Bruckheimer's new movie, not the games. Quote
Oky Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 No. The Simpsons are boring these days, and I'm sure the sets would be too. Besides, they would be too cartoony to be used with anything else. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 This would never ever happen. I don't think that people in other countries than America watch it, Lego doesn't like to do TV shows, its for a too mature audience, there getting very old... There are just way to many reasons that this would never happen. Quote
Tinn-man Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Lego doesn't like to do TV shows Well, LEGO did Spongebob, The Clone Wars, and even a short lived Avatar series, and have a license to make Ben 10 sets, so I don't think that they have a problem making sets based on TV shows. But I still don't think they'll ever do the simpsons. Quote

But I still don't think they'll ever do the simpsons. You forgot what else he said: It's also for a more mature audience. Lego has no problem doing kid's shows, I think Galidor was even a kid's show. At least, I think I remember seeing it on TV. Quote
Sandy Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I don't think that people in other countries than America watch it, Excuse me, but The Simpsons are still very popular here in Finland. There's re-runs of the series running constantly on the TV, and the movie was quite a success here as well. Sure, the popularity of the longest-running animation series ever is diminishing here as well, but still, everyone here knows who The Simpsons are, at least. That being said, I don't think The Simpsons will ever make it to a full-fledged theme, but I wouldn't mind seeing a collector's item Simpson House made with LEGO. It would be quite expensive with all the new molds required to make the characters, but I can imagine they could pull it off. It's just that there's not much demand for such a set, and I doubt TLG would even consider making it without a big demand from both AFOls and The Simpsons fans. Quote
Perterz Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 (edited) I don't think that people in other countries than America watch it Earth to Tom - did you know there's another world out there! America is just a glimps of the world, it even doesn't cover up half the space than the seas and oceans do! Did you know we are aware of the existance of Southpark, Garfield, Superman? Sidenote: don't take this personnal, I was just amazed by that sentence and I'm in a pretty good mood to make (stupid) jokes It would be nice to have these Simpsons figures as Lego figs to collect but that's where it ends. edit: spelling, again.. Edited June 21, 2009 by Perterz Quote
Rijkvv Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I also watch The Simpsons when I can. But I don't want to see them in LEGO. Not because it is cartoonish (Spongebob is also popular, isn't it?) but there are too many licensed themes already. One or two (or none) licensed themes are enough. Quote
