New Parts for LGEO Library

As for me it was clear that there is a risk to overwright lg_defs.

Anyway, I will try to update everything not to have those compatibility issues asap.

If you can provide the part numbers that gives you an error, it would help.

For starters, you can grep all the parts for the variable LG_INNER_CORNER_SPACE, none of which currently work.

Also, your "lg_defs.inc" is missing the objects "lg_tech_knob_join", "lg_tech_knob_join_clear" and maybe others. Any parts that use them also don't work currently.

Lastly, if you are still using Lutz's old "lg_color.inc" file, none of those colors are compatible with POV-Ray 3.7's SRGB system. Owen's file *is* compatible, however.

I believe I have his files on my PC. I also have this .zip file on my Onedrive, but I'm not 100% sure if the color file you're looking for is in there.
Otherwise, I have it on my desktop at home, but I'm not home this weekend so in that case you'll have to wait

While checking I've noticed something strange: all the Technical Axle Flexibles are working for me except 32580. It lg_32580.inc does not exist.

I don't see what's wrong here. My old LGEO.xml in LDView's folder might be outdated? It's defined there, though, but none of the working ones

Hi, I've recently re-installed LDraw (using AIOI) on my new computer, and just want to double check what I need to do to use your LGEO parts (as I have forgotten what I did last time... )

By what I understand, all I need to do is copy the parts and the xml file to they're default directories, overwriting anything that's already there... or have I missed something?

Yes, you have to copy the parts and the xml file where they should be, and overwrite when prompt.

Be aware that if you overwrite the lg_defs.inc file of the AIOI by mine, you might get some trouble with some parts. To avoid this, you’de better edit your existing lg_defs files and add the two statements written on the very first post of this topic.

I’m still working to integrate this package to the AIOI to avoid all this unfriendly steps.

Let me know if you get some trouble.

When rendering technic liftarms with POV ray, I think there is a bug in LGEO. The axle holes are only visible in the half of the part:

I think those parts comes from the original LGEO library. They have not been made by me.

It is not impossible that some issues exists. You need manually correct the parts or wait until someone correct them.
