I think I'd have to say Classic Pirates.

I feel like I'm cheating on Classic Castle by saying that though.

As a kid it was Castle that was the main, with Space and Town as fallbacks...then Pirates came out.

The first wave of Batman is what brought me out of my Dark Age though, shout out to the Horror Studios sets too.

My favourite series of late is the monster fighters stuff. I loved the steampunk vibe of their contraptions and the bmovie homages in the villains.

Yes to this! The theme passed me by until I happened to pick up a cheap Mad Scientist and Monster set which I absolutely loved - collected as much as finances and availability would allow! Definitely my favourite 'one and done' theme.

I love the City sets because they remind me of my childhood, though in my childhood I feel like I had more Castle and Islanders sets, my brother was all about City and I built more of those (he hated building, loved playing).

The Lord of the Rings and Lego Movie sets brought me out of my dark ages, though I don't know how dark they were since I was buying Duplo for my nieces the whole time. And receiving the annual Winter Village set each year from my mom as a gift. And perusing the catalog. I guess I'd have to truly consider the dark ages over when I finally gave in and bought and bricklinked (most of) the modulars I'd been drooling over since their introduction.

Thank you very much! I'm glad to be here :D

I think for me, it's still got to be Adventurers. I'm very into minifigs, but Adventurers had it all: great minifigures, buildings, vehicles (that airship!), monsters, animals... The Adventurers themes always had interesting, if undefined, plots - and more than any other theme, it gave a (very simple) insight into ancient cultures from around the world.

In terms of themes that are still around, I really like the superheroes ones, but that's more because it's something I was already a fan of. Absolutely loving the new Elves theme, though - the sets are just really pretty!

My favorite themes are pirates and Castle from the classics to the modern sets. I also like Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia and The Lone Ranger.

I have several favourites.

I have gone through several phases of collecting but in retrospect I guess they could be amongst castle, mars mission, star wars, Middle-earth sets, and bionicle.

However there are several sets that I missed out because I was a bit young so I'm currently looking for them.

I also have to say that some sets looked amazing, but unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on them for being too young.

Those being Classic Space, Classic Castle, and Adventurers.

Space for sure. Everything from Classic Space through Futuron, Blacktron, M:Tron, and Space Police.

The Elves sets are my current favorite theme. I love the colors and all of the animal figures.

The Harry Potter series is my favorite that they have stopped producing. I love the castles and Diagon Alley was an awesome build.

I also collect Marvel minifigures, but I don't care for a lot of the sets (many of them are vehicle oriented and I'm not really a vehicles person).
