metulskie8 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Hello everyone. Here's my FullRC / IR version of NKubate's Predator. Unfortunately, without the fantastic Gearbox. Driven by a PF XL motor. Steering through the PF servo The opening of both Wingdoors independently by a PF M motor on each side. Control by 2 IR sensors. Integrated into the frame PF battery box. See all photos: http://www.technic-dialog.de/Homepage/index.php?page=24&album=1448 Thanks for watching ... Quote
Milan Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 @Anio...Why? Is that forbidden? Of course it is not forbidden. No one could forbid you to build something with your own bricks. I like it, btw. Quote

MacKaiwer Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) I like this color scheme, former red-grey looked kind of weird but this white-red-grey is just awesome! And those wheels are magnificent Edited May 1, 2015 by MacKaiwer Quote
Jay Psi Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) I like it. While I do like the original more I think there's room for such an extensive modification, and crucially you've done a very good job with motorizing the model. The quarter-ellipse in the rear wing still looks off to me but that can't be helped, there's no way to attach it one stud lower (to the panels). Edited May 1, 2015 by Jay Psi Quote
metulskie8 Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 @ Jay Psi ... do you mean that? The other looks a bit like a tail of an aircraft. Therefore, I found it really fits. It's also a road Jet;-) Quote
Jay Psi Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Yes. Yes I do. I think the wing looks much better with the quarter ellipses flush with the panels, it gives the wing a sleeker (and more aerodynamic) look. I know it juts out at the bottom now but that doesn't spoil the top-side profile. Thanks for making the change. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Yea, I don't know why @anio made the comments they did. Anio is one heck of a builder, but sometimes I think great builders can get a little petty (because others can't build to their levels) and loose contact with the main fan base. Nothing is wrong with improving on someone else's model as long as you give them credit for the original (which you did). Putting restrictions on what someone can and can't do with Lego is kinda Kragley if you get me drift....... Quote

He probably made the comment because the main function of what makes the Predator so special has been removed. When I see models like this one here, I don't think of them as improvements, but more so modifications. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Well said. Not much improvement to NKubates's that can be done, it is that good. Modifications it is...... Quote
technicbasics Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Hi The white / red looks great, a little bit better than the red / gray for my taste. No matter what others write, keep it up and stay true to your path. regards technicbasics Quote
Duky Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I also appreciate your work to modificate all the models! I like the colour scheme, but the current car lives from the vertical gearbox. NOT every car which is RC is better IMO ;) But stick to your principles. Quote
metulskie8 Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Thanks for the nice and also critical contributions. @duky I would never presume my versions of Mocs to call the better ;-) there are only interpreting the originals. I have great respect for the builders. Quote
