"Intresting" Keliim declares when he sees the key challange, he takes a few steps towards it and walks one time around it. "Intresting, indeed. And what makes it more intresting," He says when he stands next to Aristune "Is that, I though thou said thee cleared this room already.. or did thee just miss this key when thy party was in a "hurry". The big man says with a smirk and bumps Aristune in the side with his elbow.

The big mans laughs, "just joking with thee. I know this place is changing around. Thou seen this kind of test before Aristune?"

"What do thee others say, now we need opinions and I that means EVERYBODY'S opinion."

You apparently misunderstood me. I told you we went North then west in a spiral. We went no further northward that the room we just left. This is new territory for me as well. As far as this challenge, it would seem to me that it would take four initiates working in unison in some way.

"Ah, thinking of a bigger spiralpattern than thou then, I guess."

Keliim moves closer to one of the chains and investigates it. Gives it a small pull but just a small one.

Posted

He pulls the chain harder, "Solid work, the ones who construct'd this knew what they wast doing."

Keliim checks the strange device next and its bone handle.

Posted

The Gem in the device glows more brightly as Calamity lays her hands upon handle. Fine writing appears upon the ivory handle as well.

"Two chances will there be, for the cadre to show where their enemies would flee."

OoC: I guess the handle keliim checks, "touches"! Does the same/ haves the same writing as the one Calamity touches ?

As Keliim lays his hand upon the ivory handle the same writing appears in its glowing script.

Two of the four handle devices have now been activated.

OoC: If someone is good at riddles, maybe this is the time

Keliim says to Terry, Rethinal and Muradin, "I Dunno, wot if a diffrent person hath to touch the handles but two of thou, grab one of the remaining. Lets try activating this."

All four of the devices now glows yellow. Each shows the message

"Two chances will there be, for the cadre to show where their enemies would flee."

Keliim still tholds the handle and looks when the devices glow then he looks at the key and its yellowcolor, Topas. He released the handle, to see if it still glows.

"I imagine that it might be tougher than this, but who knows?"

"Probably but if we remember what Aristune said," He turns his head to him "Thou said the Parlor tests mind and spirt, so far from what thou said the key challanges have been Elemental challanges. Thou Aristune said "Sapphire key was a contained within a whirlwind. Our mage was able to ground out the maelstrom by using his earth magic to disperse the winds. The Emerald key was being guarded by sentient vines" So this is also, what element is the yellow topas, maybe that will give us some hints?"

OoC: I know Topas is Lightning, little RP because Keliim isn´t so familiar with elements and its magic.

A weighty silence descends over the room. All six heroes, four with hands firmly planted on magical devices, stand looking from one to another. Hoping against hope that someone has an idea.

Posted

"Any of yer wouldn't 'appen ter carry some lightin' in yer magic pockets would ye?" He glanced at each member of the party sarcastically, "No? Well i'll be damned."

All six heroes, four with hands firmly planted on magical devices, stand looking from one to another. Hoping against hope that someone has an idea.

OoC: Actually Keliim had released the grip of the handle to see if it does something as seen in post #340:

Keliim still tholds the handle and looks when the devices glow then he looks at the key and its yellowcolor, Topas. He released the handle, to see if it still glows.

"Ehh... Lightning, methinks. Yeah, lightning."

"Lightning, thou think. Yes, thou be probably right. Thou mages don´t seem to have any lightning spells?"

"Any of yer wouldn't 'appen ter carry some lightin' in yer magic pockets would ye?" He glanced at each member of the party sarcastically, "No? Well i'll be damned."

"no I guess not. That h'mmer of thy would't strike lightning would't it!"

Keliim thinks about the riddle and says it a few times out loud, "Two chances will there be, for the cadre to show where their enemies would flee. What does thit mean, never heard this. Two chances and where would the enemy flee, hmm.

Maybe we ´re missing something here? May it be we should done something in an other room?"

"It is activated, so where is the startlever?"

Keliim searches, at the same time he tries to pull, rotate or something on the ivory handle. To see if that does something.

The Handle moves freely in all directions as Keliim fiddles with it. There is a flare of light and the script on ALL FOUR handles flashes to

"One final chance is left to thee, for the cadre to show where their enemies would flee."

"I think I know, we have all have to turn the handles in the direction where something fled, Aristune did anything you fought ever run away?"

Generally would your enemy not flee away from you if you are inept enough to allow them the opportunity? We are taught that a true warrior does not let his enemy flee, that he is destroyed and trampled beneath our feet. We call it Sending them to ground.
