My phone is forcing me to use the Flickr app and not sure how to get it to give me the resizeable image links, so hope this isn’t unfathomably huge. I know I could easily jump the gun and get the Biggs head prior to opening the x-wing next month, but since I’m in no hurry for Anchorhead Biggs to be completed (will just stick him in the Falcon or something), I’m happy to wait. Hope this gives you a good enough indicator!

Wow.  That's pretty amazing looking.  I was planning on using my Advent Freemaker torso for an updated Captain Antilles, but I might do this instead.  Thanks for sharing!  Just out of curiosity, are those "old brown" legs?  I can't tell for sure from the photo.

Is that what Bricklink just calls "brown" or would that be "dark brown" for the old colour? Or are both discontinued? These are just "brown".

'Brown' is the old, now discontinued colour that was replaced with 'reddish brown' around 2004 time.

'Dark brown' is a relatively new colour and is actually the colour of the hairpiece there.

I've noticed Firestar still hasn't had any more stock of their custom Rebel helmets. It doesn't affect me since I already own them, but it's a shame for others. And am still hoping they may even make some more. Any news on whether they're coming back or any more designs will ever be made?

They will be printing more. They actually had some issues with their printer and they now have a new machine, which they’re  in the process of getting full up to speed with etc. I’m sure once that’s done and they’ve reset the jigs and calibrated colours they’ll be back on the site.

Hey guys, a couple things.  Picked up Ematt on bricklink and some dual-molded legs, I like them more than the original legs.  I also thought that Kranxx's head from Space Police III is about as good as we're likely to get for a Selkath (from KoTOR et al.).  The head back tentacles don't exactly work, but the face barbels kinda do!  I combined them for your viewing pleasure.

Also something that I hadn't seen here, I've been using one of the Iron Drone minifigs from Exo-Force as an HK-47 since they came out.  Like with Kranxx's head, it's about as good as we're likely to get!  There isn't a yellow technic axel to use for the eyes, so I just stuck with the original red.  Pardon the dust, he's kinda old (I noticed after I took the picture and was too lazy to retake it).

There's a 3L yellow technic axle, you could try that, but it may be too long. If you're not that purist you could consider cutting it. Or cutting yellow flex tube, that may also work.

For some reason I never remember the tubing pieces.  I don't mind cutting Technic to make them fit, I'll pick a 3L yellow axle and some tubing.

I've never been able to buy into the idea of the Selkath as Star Wars aliens.... they've always seemed more appropriate for the Mass Effect universe. Personal gripes aside, I think the Kranxx head does capture the Selkath spirit, so good job.

A simply combination to represent Comic Princess Leia and her pilot Evaan. The torso and helmet MF sw607, whose helmet caught comic mark pretty well.

In the Rogue One visual guide, Evaan Verlaine's helmet is pictured as exactly the same as Antoc Merrick's available in the Advent Calendar.

Honestly I think Kranxx's head works best as a Quarren. Orange is kinda close to the Quarren skin tone and the overall shape is similar

For sure.  I've always used part 18828pb01 from the alien trooper for quarren, the color doesn't match super well and the head is too round but the tentacles are a bit better.  But yeah you're right, Kranxx could work!  :) His head tentacles aren't spot on for the quarren triangle head but it's the best we can do!

Interesting choice. I have that head, it does feel like star wars but not like quarren to me.

I think this minifig from atlantis looks reasonably like a quarren, despite the color. too bad the "triangle" is upwards instead of downwards

I do wish Lego will release a quarren in the soon future

That is much closer, for sure, and we can always pretend the color means it's a special Quarren!  I thought that minifig was more expensive than it is, too, so thanks for the tip! :)

Did anyone ever buy a custom Quarren from Big Kid Brix? They look pretty good (albeit out of stock) but can't find any reviews or real up-close pictures to see the real quality of them (and not that I'd ever pay $60 for one).

I'd never heard of them, and I didn't find many pictures elsewhere either. :( Some of the "human" minifigs are pretty cool, but their "alien" heads don't really do it for me, they just look un-Lego to me.  But it's a great (albeit expensive) way to get Zuckuss and Quarren and whatnot! :)

you're welcome. Could always just try to paint it of course, but no idea how that will turn out. Maybe if I see one one time I will experiment, could maybe cut a bit in the plastic to achieve a more accurate shape

Inferno Squadron BP

Posted this in the 2019 thread but it really should have gone here for the arm update. I’m just glad to have some new specialist Imperials.

Where are the red arms from?

Surfer from series 17 CMF I believe. I haven't got around to buying any yet but nice to see they look good on the figures.

Yup, haven’t got the battle pack yet but got the surfers arms all ready and waiting... just wish I could have a fourth bloody helmet in preparation too grrr.

It will probably be just as expensive to buy a full figure before too long anyway as it's from a battlepack. Individual helmets always seem overpriced on bricklink.

But that’ll just put me into an OCD-like cycle of constantly have another trooper without a helmet who I’ll be itching to put with the other troops haha. I don’t mind paying a bit extra, just wish it didn’t take so long for some new release inventories to be added there!

No doubt there will be bricklink sellers purposely buying the pack to sell its parts individually. Just wait and you’ll probably be able to buy a fourth helmet for a couple bucks soon.

On a related side note.

The ammo belt looks quite good on the Inferno Squad Member.

Has anyone tried the white belt on a Stormtrooper with black hips underneath?

Or the white belt on a scout trooper with the dual molded black pants and white boots?

I imagine it might look quite good on either.
