Updating Your Minifigs

I did. Mine too. It's a real shame that we have to do all of this ourselves though. Imagine if the star wars theme got the special treatment that tlbm is getting

TLBM is a short living theme. SW is a long one. If they made perfect figures now, what will they do in the future?

So i'm not sure if this counts as updating or just a purist mod. I used the Clone commando battle pack kama to give Darth Vader his skirt. I personally think it adds a lot to the already amazing figure.

I got inspired to make a small squad of Rebel Navy/Fleet troopers

I only have the parts to make one complete one, but this what I want them to look like. The head is from the 75153  AT-ST Pilot/ Death Star trooper, but the one from the Tantive IV Planet would work too I suppose, but he looks a little too happy. I want to know what other people think of them before I order the heads.

So im the original poster, yeah it does fold forward but at the time I took the picture I didnt know it did.  i'll try and post an updated picture.

I've also used the same head piece on my fleet troopers, (I did wonder if anyone else would post this) it looks far better even without the white chin piece. Shame there are none with moustaches of different expressions. Also it's suprising how fresh and new the legs make the figure look.

They look great in my opinion. I'm guessing those legs are from the imperial technician from the battlepack.

Yep, but they first appeared in 75055.

I've been picking up the slightly smiling face you mentioned in various BL orders and I think I've got around 8 of those updated troopers now but the annoyed face above does work better.

Now to find a BL store with 8 of those heads and 8 of the legs cheap! (Probably be in Germany!)

Not to sound weird but clearly the biggest issue is Peter Cushing's torso is a little more *ahem* flat chested then Pryce.

I'm really chuffed that you posted these pictures today - I just ordered a load of imperial technicians just get the hats for Krennic, ISB agents and older shuttle pilots, so I've got loads of spare legs! Still need a few more for my fleet trooper squad though. 

I also think the technician torso and head can be used as a reasonable Rebel Yavin 4 radar operator type technician when matched up with a hair piece. They seem to just wear grey overall type outfits like this guy:

Hello I'm new here and signed up just to share that I thought I'd have a go at creating a custom Saw Gerrera. I went with the bald Saw from the flashback scenes and early Rogue One trailers, using pictures of a Saw action figure for reference for the rest of the outfit. I've tried him with hair but just feel he doesn't look as good.

The head is custom from Firestar Toys, body armour is a galaxy trooper, torso is some space police I think, the utility belt is a custom Si-Dan G8 Tactical Belt, with a tattered Boba Fett style shoulder cape hanging out from under the left side of the armour, legs are a peg leg attached to those of the Kendo warrior collectable figure.

I like to think I've come reasonably close:

Wanted to use a clip on his chest to hold his breathing tube in place, however it kept looking too bulky. So at the risk of him looking like he might start to do some hoovering, I opted to have him just hold it instead (wish I could get the end clip of the hose in trans-white for the breathing end).

I've bought Lego Batman Minifigures and thought the Commissioner Gordons hair would fit Director Krennic. The Lego Version looks a bit young. What do you think?

I'm not sure. Could be a little bit too much hair. But I like the color and the lighter accents.

The head from the new Lego Batman Movie minifigure pack with the three Gotham Police has a much less smiley reddish brown head with goatee. That might work well for Saw. The rest of that figure looks great.

I prefer the original to be honest. Also, Krennic has black pants so you won't need that double molded legs piece

Yeah, I know but the black pants are so boring. He changed his uniform^^. I switched the hair back looks better with the original. But I like the hair piece and will find another figure for it.
