WesternOutlaw Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I'm in North Phoenix now, but grew up south in Tucson. I've hiked and camped all over the state, and grew up loving the history and culture. Guess thats why WW legos are my favs. Are you familiar with the legend of the Lost Dutchman's Mine Apache. This was my inspiration behind my prospector Tex Grimwell. - at least partly. Quote
Apache Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 Are you familiar with the legend of the Lost Dutchman's Mine Apache. Nowadays, I only hike into the superstitions once a year to experience the ruggedness. Quote
Brick Miner Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 AZ, did you get to get out into the rural parts?we usually go up to jerome when we visit, so it's a pretty rural drive... i think that is an interesting town, with some interesting history. and i've seen some other "attractions" like montezuma's well/castle, etc...Yeah camelback does have nice views, but too many people for me. :-D ya, it is pretty much a tourist trap, etc... but it's the nicest mountain in the area, i think.- BM Quote
