Posted May 2, 20159 yr Hi, once again a newbie question. Is 8867 tracks compatible with 7499 and 7895? can you attach them together? Thanks again.
May 2, 20159 yr Yes! It's all part of the latest 'RC/Power Functions' rails. They all have those snap-locks to interconnect.
May 2, 20159 yr Author Thanks mate. Just read that i need to buy 4 sets of 7499 or 7895 to get a 360 deg loop whilst i only need 1 8867 to achieve that, is that correct? or buy another train set complete with tracks?

Do NOT buy flex track to make a loop. This is not what it's designed for, and you will be very frustrated if you try to do that. Buy some curved tracks off BrickLink. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=53400 Edited May 2, 20159 yr by jodawill
May 2, 20159 yr Flex track has more friction than regular curved track and will slow you down your train if you run it through a curve of flex track. It also makes for a bumpy rough ride as I found out.
May 2, 20159 yr The best use for flex track is when the regular track doesn't line up perfectly in large dioramas, or if you are creating a slope. Flex track bends well enough to do vertical changes. For making a loop, Bricklink or ME Rails would be your best bet for curved track.
May 3, 20159 yr Author Thanks again guys, Im thinking of getting the 60052. At least I get extra trains and vehicles plus the tracks and few PFs.
