Share your unpopular LEGO opinions here.

I'll start...

I think the the NEO Shifters from MegaBloks actually looked pretty cool.

I really like Galidor and think it could really work with a CCBS reboot.

Hero Factory had potential that they never followed up on.

Have fun! (Don't start a flame war, please.) :classic:

Haha, excellent forum idea, the title alone made me laugh for a solid two minutes. :iamded_lol:

One of mine is I actually don't mind that Batman comes in almost every DC Superheroes set. I'd actually prefer him to have his own line. I think they should have stopped making justice league sets after the core members. (I'm a sucker for that New 52 Wonder Woman and the Lego Movie style Green Lantern though) :laugh_hard:

I wish more train sets with passenger cars would come about. I am MOCing some of my own design and the parts needed are becoming rarer and rarer on BL, things like windows and the window glass.

Let me see...

I really liked Legends of Chima and I would have liked to see it continue into 2016.

I want to see CCBS become a more major part of more sets in general.

I think minidolls can blend in seamlessly with minifigs (not really, I think the opposite but I thought it was a good one to share since nobody I know thinks that they do  )

I dislike how squat minifigs are. I wish they would make taller ones with longer arms and legs that bend at the elbows and knees. I'd be happy to keep the current size as children and the current child minifig legs that can't bend at all can go away. Then with the taller figs start new CMF lines.

I like Technic figs and wish they would come back somewhere.

I hate silly sci-fi designs, like the Power Miners rock monsters and the aliens from the Mars Mission sets.

I hate that there is no Lego store in Australia, because that means there is no pick-a-brick wall.

I hate when things like Chima have lots of cool parts in useful colours but heaps of weird parts, mainly the trans colours, that I have no use for. Even some Chima battle packs have single trans-light blue legs that render the minifig legs useless for other uses like GoH.

I hate that City doesn't have more varied businesses. There should be two $30-$50 sets every 6 months that can expand a LEGO city gradually. But they just keep making damn vehicles.

I hate Ninjago as a theme. Sets are cool but the story...

Mixels animated show was terrible.

Elves was cool but they blew the whole damn storyline of the sets in ONE episode. What the hell? Why not make an intro/setup, then make each subsequent episode a quest for the map or one of the keys and introduce one new set/character. LEGO do quite a poor job on the media backing some of their themes.

Why is there no long running LEGO City animated show? This boggles my mind. I guess they don't need it, the stuff sells anyway.

I hate the "_insert animal name here_ suit" figs in the CMF range. Pig man, unicorn girl, bee girl, rabbit, crocodile/alligator, gorilla, etc.

The last Castle release was too small and disappeared from stores too quickly.

The last Castle range had little fantasy element beside the dragon. Fail.

I hate Bionicle, Hero Factory and large constraction figs.

Enough with the n-th renditions of Police and fire related (vehicles/buildings) already!

Modulars are getting smaller, more expensive, more geared to kids, and the need to have a storyline is just plain dumb.

I like Technic figs and wish they would come back somewhere.

I thought this was supposed to be unpopular ideas... these are all dead on truth!

I don't mind remakes.

Agree with you there, especially if I don't have the original.

I hate exclusive figures (looking at you Green Arrow!). Spreading the whole team inot a one team-member-per-set really irks me too (Ninjago 2013 :hmpf_bad: ).

I liked Knights' Kingdom II despite all the criticism it got.

I think Ninjago wouldn't have been possible without Bionicle G1's demise.

Umbaran MHC was so horrible I haven't bought a single Star Wars set since (although those Rebels sets and the Shadow Trooper BP are tempting).

LEGO Club Magazine has been more <insert that tiresome argument> over the years.

Amazingly, some people actually like getting Police and Fire every year! :hmpf:

I'm really not that bothered by minifigs in general, let alone believing it is a requirement for a licensed theme to reproduce every single character, both major and minor.

Here's another one of mine: The Legend Reborn was extremely mediocre and The Adventures of Clutch Powers was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I really liked Castle 2013. Now I get a lot of the criticism, but for me just coming out of my dark ages it hit the right notes in terms of having all the classic set types but with modern figures, colors, and parts.

I don't like MOCs that are excessively greebled, like every surface is made of tiny plates. Just not a style I enjoy.

Rock Raiders are cool.

Can we please have Trans-Neon Green window panes? Who would not want to build a M:Tron house, or a Blacktron II skyscraper, or an Atlantis glass tunnel?

LEGO Bricks are just as much for grownups as they are for kids.

It's OK for your LEGO hobby to cross paths with your other hobbies. A "stained glass" window inside your house, built of trans-colored bricks. Cut pieces of wood to LEGO dimensions, and use them in your MOCs. Jigs and fixtures. "Always use the right toy for the job".

Mini cooper 10242 is overpriced, easy to build and it has lack of many details.

But still interesting model...

I think microbuilding is much more impressive than making something massive.

Also some words about how the skill required to make something recognisable in proportion to the amount of pieces swings in the microbuilders' favour.

I hate baseplates and wish they didn't exist. Regular plates can fill the same role.

I like friends figs.

And best of all, if you don't make your own creations, you shouldn't bother with Lego. Anyone can buy and build a set.

Choice of colors in Architecture sets really fits well with the subject matter. I mean, who doesn't like the brick-yellow colored house in 21005 Fallingwater being the same color as the brick-yellow colored ground and brick-yellow colored surrounding hillside, they all merge nicely together when displayed.
