May 3, 20159 yr To power the Emerald Night according to the instructions you'll need an XL motor. The battery box and receiver from the Cargo train can be used.
May 3, 20159 yr Yes, 60052 has the PF parts you asked about, the complete part inventory can be found here. While the EN instructions only tell you how to power it with an XL motor (not included in 60052, but currently on sale at S@H in the US), you could also modify the tender so that you could use the train motor from 60052. However, if you go this route you will probably want to remove the gearing from the EN and only use a single red band on the driver wheels (exactly one, not one on each side), both to reduce unnecessary drag.

May 3, 20159 yr The Lego website does include a description of all the PF elements included, but you can see a complete inventory on BrickLink. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=60052-1 This new cargo train is one of my favorite sets of all time. It includes a lot of useful parts – so many, in fact, that I didn't even finish assembling the set before I cannibalized it for my steam engine. They're releasing a new cargo train this summer that, in my opinion, is not quite as good as this one (mainly because it doesn't include the cow ;) ). I highly recommend you buy this one before it's discontinued.
May 3, 20159 yr I got one of these too, I didn't know another version is coming so soon. Will keep a look out for it. I am already thinking of redoing the cars as well for my own ideas.
May 3, 20159 yr I got the 60052 for the cow too. It has blue train base plates, good for making a blue Horizon Express. Or Conrail GP38 diesel engine. Mine has been parted into other MOCs.

May 4, 20159 yr Author Hey Congrats man! Yes I've got 60052 today for only 200aud at local web shopping. It retails at 300 in official stores. Another one is selling at 210. I'm thinking of getting it as well but Ive dried out.lol Also got the XL motor off BL just waiting for it to arrive. Thanks guys again for the advice. Ill keep you posted.
