Posted May 3, 20159 yr After finding the box with prefabricated castle pieces parted out from the five Royal King's Castle sets that I got on clearance from Costco a long time ago, decided to build an old-fashioned castle utilizing them. The end result is this upgraded version of the Royal King's Castle with the raised baseplate.
May 3, 20159 yr Looks really nice, but there's a bit of overkill regarding the flags. I really like the way you built the side tower upside-down. Overall, that's a great upgrade! Edited May 3, 20159 yr by BrickJagger
May 3, 20159 yr Cool build, very dense castle. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where are the dark grey helms from?
May 4, 20159 yr Nice castle! It looks just like an enlarged version of an official set. The flags are slightly distracting but I suspect they wouldn't be when viewed in person. The sky background looks great and would be perfect without the shadows. And that is one serious pile of prefab parts! Good job overall.

Thanks all and just tried to keep this build within the design aspect of the original set. Cool build, very dense castle. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where are the dark grey helms from? They all came from some old castle sets. AC
May 9, 20159 yr Author Very nice work! I like how you made the towers Tried to keep the same design aesthetics of the old set with a new twist on it's features and the towers were ready for a makeover. This is the most innovate use of BFCs I've ever seen. MOCers often dismiss the use of these parts but they can still work with new designs when appropriate. AC
