KarlMarX Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Hello, I'm new here. Although I'm lurking here for a while now. I'm 30 years old and live in Almere, Holland. I'm married and have one daughter who is almost two years old. I'm out of my dark ages since one year now. I collect City/trains and Star Wars. Only newer sets (till 2005), because I lost my old collection from my youth. :'-( So I had to start with nothing an it seems easier and more affortable to stick with new sets (still buyable for normal prices) then. Greetings :-) Quote

Its like 75 % of each forum is with duch people *wacko* .Im duck too! :-| Anyway, welcome! Err... I believe this one is an exception. Wait a minute, you're a duck?! 8- Quote
Asuka Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Hello and welcome to our little golden valley of bricks.... *y* Fantastic Fourth on! Siegfried Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks. Shame about your old Lego colection. I bought mine back, but it wasn't as large as I remembered.... :'-( Quote
KarlMarX Posted August 19, 2007 Author Posted August 19, 2007 Thanks all for the warm welcome! And yes, I'm also active at Lowlug with the same nickname. Only I like this forum better because here are much more City/train, Star Wars and Pirates fans. At Lowlug it's is mostly Castle, trucks and Technic. I'm very sad about my old Lego City and Pirates collection being lost. My evil stepfather has thrown it all away. :-X I've only some technic left, but I don't like technic anymore and need the money for creating a Star Wars collection, so I'm going to sell that. I've bought some Pirate Lego last year when I came out of my dark ages. But now I'm thinking of selling (a part) of that, because I need the money for Star Wars (and City). Three themes is a little bit too much. Both financial and for the occuping space at home. I think I keep some ships as decoration for my City, like The Batavia in Lelystad :-D Anyhow. This forum is really fantastic. All those true and fanatic Lego fans here. It's awesome! *y* Quote
Siegfried Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I've only some technic left, but I don't like technic anymore and need the money for creating a Star Wars collection, so I'm going to sell that. What Technic sets are you selling? :-P Quote

Only I like this forum better because here are much more City/train, Star Wars and Pirates fans. At Lowlug it's is mostly Castle, trucks and Technic. Indeed! I was quite dissapointed when I posted my MOCs in there, almost no-one replied to them. All they are interested in are trucks... They even didn't reply on my castle creation. Wise decision coming to EB! ;-) I'm very sad about my old Lego City and Pirates collection being lost. My evil stepfather has thrown it all away. :-X Hmmmpff, that's painful... Why on earth did he do that? Tell me his name, I know some excellent assasins >:-) just kidding :-P I think I keep some ships as decoration for my City, like The Batavia in Lelystad :-D You made a Batavia?! Don't forget to post it in the Pirates forum! Mr Tiber Quote
KarlMarX Posted August 19, 2007 Author Posted August 19, 2007 You made a Batavia?! Don't forget to post it in the Pirates forum! No, not yet. I'm only planning to do something like that, because I like old ships and I like the Dutch Golden Age >:-) I also like history in general and really would like to add some history to my Town. :-) Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 (edited) No, not yet. Norro Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Welcome! Any rationale behind the user name? Also I resent your statement that conversation focusing on castle is to be avoided X-D X-D God Bless, Nathan Quote
KarlMarX Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 Welcome! Any rationale behind the user name? Also I resent your statement that conversation focusing on castle is to be avoided X-D X-D I do like Karl Marx and his thoughts very much. But I have no intention to get this forum in a political discussion board or something. Also I'm not against Castle, but at Lowlug there is only castle and technic and I like Town and Star Wars more. To talk about those themes, Eurobricks is the place to be! :-D Quote
