Takkata Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I've always loved what Sean and Steph did with their Island: https://www.flickr.c...ocy/8038147263/ With all these new pink and purple leaves, I figured somebody should revamp the concept again. All these new colors are fun to work with. I also did my first ever Brickfilm on this moc, it's not perfect, but its fun to see Mr. Pirate flash back and forth between negative and not. Captain Dee Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 The concept of inverting colors is interesting although I must admit I had never considered doing it with Lego (I've done it with landscape photography but that's all). Another cool effect is to remove the color (making it black and white) and then invert (making it, well, white and black if you know what I mean). But for the benefit of other viewers you might want to restore the missing second photo! Quote
Staslegomaster Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I like your story and creation. I'm a fan of LEGO pirates, I began collecting them 25 years ago. And your island is one of the most unusual of which I"ve ever seen. I'm a newcomer here and don't knoe how to upload my creations here. Can you explain? LEGO pirates series celebrates its 25th anniversary so I created LEGO PIrate Battle island and uploaded it in LEGO Ideas. Please have a look and compare mine and yours. I'd like to know adult LEGO fans' opinions. Keep in touch. Staslegomaster Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Great stuff! I had never thought abouth this. BTW: There was an error with the second pic (it had disappeared), I had to re-insert it. Quote
