Bregir Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 A counter to LordDan at K3 Not all citizens of Easterbroke believe that treason is the best way to earn their right to join with Avalonia. Therefore, these loyalists have manned small, fast patrolboats to intercept the smugglers running weapons to fuel war and pain on Easterbroke. ______________ 1) Sorry for the photoquality, but light was getting dim... 2) This was a surprisingly complex technique for building a boat, but quite fun! 3) I have tried to recreate LordDan's rock technique 4) C&C welcome Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Excellent counter! The shaping is very nice, as are the rocks Quote
Captain Dee Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Suddenly you've gone all nautical on us - which is good! The boat looks good and I'm sure it was fun to build. The rocks look fine and I don't see any big problem with the lighting. It certainly looks like a nighttime operation with the black background, which is appropriate for intercepting smugglers. Good job overall and a nice companion to your other shipping/FP build. Quote
Balbo Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Nice! I like the way you made the boat. Furthermore the rockwork is great, too Quote
Garmadon Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Excellent boat Bregir, the studs out hull looks very nice! Great counter, I like how you recreated the rocks as well! Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Very nice boat technique! You're really getting good at these! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Very pretty little boat, I like the mast set up Very pretty little boat, I like the mast set up Quote
Bregir Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 Thanks all - I think this is my first "baseless" build, which was fun to try too. It was a bit hard to get the shaping (and structural integrety) on the boat right, so I am no quite sure it would work on a bigger ship, but in any case, it was a fun experiement! And this challenge is all about improving our skills and trying newtechniques, isn't it? Quote
