Opproperaar Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 (edited) Yes I said 'Howdy' *sweet* You heard me correct I'm introducing myself here, though I've been shadowing the forums for nearly a month! lol I live in wonderful little Flanders in Belgium. I'm 15, and will be 16 this October This September I'll be in fifth grade Humane Science(to Americans that's eleventh grade, we start from one again when we hit seventh grade :-) ) Finally, so close to the end :-P I love history and travelling and I find this corner of the globe (the Benelux) though lovely, to be quite a boring place. :-/ I hope I don't get beaten up by the entire Belgian/Dutch community here for saying that :-D One thing that I already can tell from posting on these forums is that I definitely do not have enough LEGO! :-D Edited August 20, 2007 by Hairy Ruben Quote

Opproperaar Posted August 20, 2007 Author Posted August 20, 2007 (edited) Yay, another Belgian *sweet* ! From Flanders *y* ! Welcome to EB! What part of Flanders are you from? Well, Antwerp really, though I'm not actually Antwerp - ish? (God only knows how to say or spell this 8-| ) I'm half Oost-Vlaams and half Vlaams-Brabants and I live in Antwerp. (Does anybody know the translation of that? :-P ) I just knew it, I was thinking to myself that Flanders may be confused with Ned Flanders. I can assure we we're there first :-D ;-) Besides I'm a strict atheist. |-/ Since I'm a teenager and all (I'm not that social and I don't even have a cellphone so I guess I'm not your 'stereotypical' teen) I've been having troubles with buying LEGO. :'-( Yes, though I certainly like to buy it, I feel, well you know, it's a child's toy, on the box it says from age 5 to 12. I'm nearly 16. I feel so ashamed when I stand there in front of the register. It's so embarrasing :-D :-D Edited August 20, 2007 by Hairy Ruben Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Welcome! Sort of... :-D I'm half Oost-Vlaams and half Vlaams-Brabants and I live in Antwerp. (Does anybody know the translation of that? :-P ) I believe Flemish is a word... Besides I'm a strict atheist. |-/ Really?: (God only knows how to say or spell this 8-| ) :-P I've been having troubles with buying LEGO. :'-( Yes, though I certainly like to buy it, I feel, well you know, it's a child's toy, on the box it says from age 5 to 12. I'm nearly 16. I feel so ashamed when I stand there in front of the register. It's so embarrasing :-D :-D If you're really embarrased, you could ask the lady/guy behind the register to pack it for you. So it would seem you are buying a present for your little brother. Well, keep enjoying your stay! X-D Mr Tiber Quote

I'm 16 myself (and I do have a cellphone ;-) does that make me stereotypical :'-( :-P ?) and I feel the same way about buying Lego like you. But anyway, most of the people in the shop are people whom you'll mostly only see once in your lifetime, so f*ck 'em :-P . Quote

And you are both pirate fans !! When we would organize a EB pirate event, we would already have 4 participants :-D . The forth one is Mr. Tiber who lives just over the Dutch border in Maastricht.
