Hi everyone,

Let me introduce you one of my latest creation : X-Men vs one of their iconic enemy - the sentinel :

X-Men are ready to battle :

There are different color codes for these mighty robots and I chosed the magenta / dark blue combination like this kind of sentinel.

(and also because I had these dome parts in magenta that where perfect for the top of the head ^^)

Well, it's not easy to deal with magenta as there are not many different parts in this color (and it can quickly become expensive) but I'm quite happy with the result.

The creation will be displayed in an upcoming event in France (Fanabriques) as I saw that super heroes creations are quite popular with the audience

This is really cool, but I must say the Sentinel looks a little off having such a big head compared to the rest of the body. It looks really cartoony, almost chibi like. I know you mentioned it being difficult to find magenta Lego pieces, so maybe you could (have) just done the upper torso, head, and an arm on the side of the building like the Sentinel is reaching over to fight the X-men?

Wow! Spectacular! I love your Sentinel design--and I totally know what you mean about magenta, I'm working on Sentinels for Brickworld Chicago, and it's just a pain the the neck to get so many bricks in such rare and limited colors.

Your Sentinel is a bit chibi, and he has the perfect amount of simple design, but I think that's why I love it so much. It just has so much character and its still believable as a dangerous threat. He may be improved with some sort of blast coming from his hand however--it would help make the creation more dynamic overall. It might also help to make the ground under his feet cracked.

Nice technique for Cyclops, it's like what I did with mine! Although I use a red spring loaded shooter. The effect works better, in my opinion, than the antennae. I like your sentinel too, I wish our official one was a lot taller.

I know, the sentinel looks chibi The 1st version had a bigger and larger body but I found it too massive (+2 bricks for height and width) I had to make some compromise and this is the version that was in my opinion the best but the different comments I had make me doubt ^^

I ‘ll maybe try to re-work the body as I don’t think I’ll re-work the head due to the fixed size of the 4 dome bricks. Or maybe a version without these domes

The helicopter pilot is just a randow guy - cause I love to use at least one scary face in each creation ^^
