NNOPMOC Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 They both look fantastic. I'm currently selling a set of Stormtrooper Armour to fund my MOC habit (I was always too tall for it anyway) and a reworked Star Destroyer was always on my 'to-do' list, but at this scale I'd find it very hard to improve on what AitR and took9 have built here. *Hat-tip* Quote
manglegrat Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 First post since joining (2yrs ago) to thank you for making this LDD file available. I will never have the space to display a full ISD but I was thinking of building just the top half (from the greebles on up) and hanging it on the wall... The engines would be the biggest challenge whatever version I built, but I think apart from the dishes yours is pretty close to the most MODdable to meet my needs. Some day I may even start that project... Great work! DW Quote
maltik Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Fantastic model!! Is there any way, how to get list of bricks, which are needed to build this model? Thanks! Quote

Raskolnikov Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 a reworked Star Destroyer was always on my 'to-do' list That's my current project. I'm working on a MOC Star Destroyer that's larger than the UCS but I keep running into problems. The UCS Star Destroyer seems to have been a revolutionary set when it came out but I can't help thinking that with new pieces and better building techniques someone could do a lot better, today. The mods to the UCS in this thread do look great, though, and correct some of the most important issues with the set. The angles of the bridge on the set always stuck out to me, and the OP's mods fix that quite well. Quote
maltik Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) I have tried to do that through LDD, but I couldn't find any option how to do it. =/ By the way any of you have problem with generating building guide? It always freeze at around 25%. Edited June 2, 2015 by maltik Quote
djtsmith007 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Looks good. Cant wait to see! Maybe ill do this to my own Quote
VuHoang96 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Hello, Is there any other way to get the part list? My access doesn't allow LDD manager to run and also I can't generate the instructions using LDD. Any advice? I'm a new guy, pretty much inexperienced at LDD stuffs. Thanks! Quote

I'm in the same boat you are (at least in terms of knowledge of LDD and whatnot), so there may be other options. However: http://www.brickulus.com It allows you to upload a LXF file and it will generate a parts list (with corresponding bricklink parts codes). Note that several items are not translating from LDD to BL for some reason, so you'll have to go into LDD and put that part number into the search box to see what it is. I've only tested it with the text output (Simple List) so I can't comment on how useful the other formats are. Quote

It sure looks like it's gonna take quite a while, but I'll definitely give it a shot since it's probably the only solution right now. Thanks so much! :) Quote

Only many a few parts are listed as "Unknown" and have to be searched on LDD but most of them share the same design number with BL. I also used the "Simple list", I guess the name speaks for itself. All that matters now is that I must generate the instructions, which will probably take quite a while. Anyway, thanks a lot! :) Quote

That's great news to me because magnets are ridiculously expensive right now. And because of that, I've spent the last few hours digging through my inventory trying to get as many parts as possible. The only matter now is that I get the exact instruction for this. As much as I love the 10030 by TLC, your design is the one I love most. :D The road to get the proper instruction will be difficult, mostly because my Java keeps alerting me of malfunctions from time to time. Thank you for your answer! :) Quote
bataleon Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 It's beautiful. I'm trying to resist the urge to start a new Bricklink list for this. By "resist the urge" what I actually mean is patiently waiting to see if TLG give us a ISD for the 40th Anni. At least if they don't I have the option of building this stunner. Cheers mate :) Quote
