Reifnir Wave-Breaker had thought his fighting days were done, but rumor has reached his ears of the Algus marauders. The call of the Northern tribes and clans brings even him out of the cosiness of his home to face the threat of the Frozen Beyond.

Those inverted slopes at roof make the build look quite cute :) Small tip regarding photography mate, try to limit the use of flash and prefer outdoor phorography instead.

Or everywhere without harsh lighting. The colors will look better.

The texturing on the roof is great and the cottage looks cozy!

Thanks!

Thanks Gun. Problem is, I live on the 9th floor of a high-rise in a very windy region. I cannot do outdoor photography and none of my pictures use flash. The issue is reflection of my 100w Halogen lights on the plastic. It's fairly unavoidable for me and something I grapple with because the defects in my presentation of MOCs always bug me. If I don't keep "harsh" lighting on the MOC I'm photographing, I get rampant shadows and a gritty image. I use GIMP to smooth out the contrast and brightness as best I can, but there are usually "light spots" from the plastic reflecting the bulbs.

Nice work!

Thanks!

I've really enjoyed all your recent builds, and this one is particularly cool  The roof looks lovely, and I like the stone texturing.

Having the house angled looks very good, and that's a sweet warrior fig :classic:

Nice little build. The cottage looks good, especially the roof, and the angle is more interesting than something square to the base. The base is pretty basic but looks nice with all the vegetation. I really like those trees; they're scaled well for the small setting. And I don't have an issue with the photography. It may not be perfect but it's still pretty good overall, and we've all seen far worse. Your explanation should quell those concerns. Good job!

Very nice job on the roof! I really like the texture and the way the sides poke out! Gives it a sort of viking feel. The bright green adds a nice contrast as well!

Sweet little house! I think 1x2 tiles on top of the two inverted slopes would polish this MOC off. Those 4 studs look a bit out of place.

Love that fig! How'd you do the bedroll/sheath?

Thanks SK. I get most of this from you.

I appreciate that a lot. Photography stuff bothers me a lot. I have gone to pretty great lengths to improve my setup but I've hit a lot of roadblocks. SK's patient recommendations to use GIMP (he's had to tell me more than once!) have paid off the most.

Nice! The roof and the fassade look great :classic:

Thanks!

Mitgardia=Norse as far as I'm concerned. :P

I agree about the exposed studs. Don't know how I missed that! I did the bedroll using a bit of sting and a rolled up piece of felt.

Cute little build - Good to see that the "Frozen beyond" storyline is still continuing! :classic:

It'll never end until the Algus are stopped!
