Brainbox Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I came across this the other day. They also do a selection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings (including a 1x1 plate). I'm not really a jewellery guy, but I have to say this is pretty cool. Quote

Sir Dillon Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Those are really cool. They're a little too expensive for me, though... I bet Hinckley will buy a few of these, because he likes this type of thing so much. ;-) Quote

andy_0306uk Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 And you even haven't seen a picture of Andy's wife? Maybe she's not your type.Anyway, if it's OK for Andy then I don't mind ;-) Well, it depends what is on offer in return If it had been my Lego he'd been after then that would have been a totally different situation Quote
Siegfried Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Cool idea, but very overpriced. Besides, I already have a cool wedding ring; mine is made of titanium. Took the jeweler several weeks to make and he ended up losing money on it. 8-| Quote

Brainbox Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Yeah, those're what I meant earlier. Pretty cool, in a nerdy-geeky sort of way. :-P I couldn't remember the site, so didn't post it. Quote

Siegfried Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I just love titanium. It sounds really cool. Do you got a pic of it? Yesish. When I got married it was in one of those pre-digital camera times so I have only film photos. :'-( I started scanning them all but I still haven't finished. :-$ What I have done is take a photo of the photo, with my ring as it is today to the left. When the ring was done it was anodised, and thus it looked purplish. However, at the time I was a technician in the navy and several years of being bashed on all the metal around the ship scraped it off. :'-( I knew this would happen, and I still like it either way. We are considering having them re-anodised for our 10th anniversary. I really wanted a custom ring for our wedding ring and at the time titanium jewelry was rare. I have short thick fingers so my ring was 100% custom, and the reason why the jeweler had so much trouble. Interestingly I wanted a titanium ring as I love aircraft, but my (now) wife liked the idea as the couple in the movie "The Abyss" have one! (That is why his hand wasn't crushed by the pressure door.) It also contains a small amount of kryptonite to ensure that Sinner's 'business ventures' go without interruption... ;-) God Bless, Nathan Oh no! I thought it was just having kids that was wearing me down! 8- Quote
