It seems that the two everyone seems most suspicious of are Russell and Eric. I feel the evidence against both is compelling. However Eric is standing out a little bit above Russell at this point.

Sarah you seem to be pointing out reasons you find Eric suspicious but you haven't voted for him. Reason?

Because I'm voting for you, who I find more suspicious.

It appears the town has chosen Eric or Russell, so you are not willing to vote with the town? I find it strange you won't vote for someone you point out valid suspicions on and yet you cast a vote without providing valid reasons for someone else.

Umm...neither have you. Talk about hypocrites

Vote Count:

Ace Brickman (Kintobor) - 6 (penalty, penalty, penalty, penalty, penalty, Dannylonglegs)

Gregory McHenry (Lady K) - 1 (Jackjonespaw)

Eric Foster (Palathadric) - 5 (StickFig, jamesn, Piratedave84, Sandy, Lady K)

Russell Price (Sandy) - 2 (Dragonfire, Kintobor)

A little over 48 hours remains in Day Three. With 12 players, seven votes are required for a lynch.

Were you present yesterday? Where I laid out specific suspicious reasons that have not changed. That's the thing about fact, y'know - they don't change. I'm voting for the person who I think is the scummiest. I'm not sure what your strategy is, other than to avoid getting lynched for yet another day.

Today, I haven't given specific ones because I agree with what has already been said. No use in repeating it when I have nothing new to share.

However, I am referring to Day 1 and Day 2 where Sarah hasn't given anything for a valid reason for her votes. And today her reason is no clearer than it was in the past two days.

Well then humor me , and lay out all your specific reasons for Day 1 and Day 2 again. And please include your reasons for today as well.

I've been saying this since the beginning of this day, so it shouldn't be any surprise - Vote: Gregory McHenry (Lady K)

Why? A weak defense in the face of accusations. When Shirley and Al voted Day 1, this was Greg's response:

"Shelly, my valid reason for not being scum is that I am town. I have read in several murder/mystery novels about one character that always has a scum vibe of another even when the other is an innocent town member. Maybe that is what you are getting a vibe from me here."

Yep, fluff. As a defense. I do admit that Shirley's sudden vote and the Al's follow up vote with little reason given was a bit strange, but that would have been the perfect time to convince those two of town-y-ness. Yet there was nothing there. It'll have to be a strong defense to get you out of this one, Greg.

Is what I said Day 2.

And what's changed? You've been trying this whole time to skive out of attention by pushing the attention to first Irene, now Eric. As well as the whole Shirley debacle. I'm sure you can find many other reasons, should you care enough to look.

Posted

Okay, I'll just shut up now since literally everything I say sounds scummy to someone. :hmpf: If I talked about the weather it would probably sound scummy to you!

Vote: Eric (Palathadric)

Are you voting for Eric because you think he's suspicious or because you'd rather he be lynched than you? Just like your vote for Gregory yesterday?

And yes, please do tell us about the weather. Scum.

Please show me where I pushed attention to Irene and then Eric? And what is this whole Shirley debacle that you are referring to? The post you quoted I have already responded to.

And your last sentence is confusing. You are telling me that if I care to look I can find many other reasons for what? For you to think I'm scummy when you can't find those reasons yourself. I am town. I don't need to find reasons for you to vote for me.......that's your job Sarah.

Or maybe you are trying to skive out of attention by pushing attention on me.

Day 2, page 3. I provided a pretty long summary of why I thought you were suspicious. Right after that, Al revealed that Irene was scum, and you immediately voted for Irene, not once mentioning what I'd said.

Today, bit less, but still, Eric's under main suspicion, you're more or less just letting them handle their business. Today, I will admit, it's not as bad as yesterday.

Shirley debacle - wherein Day 1 Shirley voted for you, the only, mind you, only vote for you at the end of Day 1, his posts full of promise that he would be on the hunt for you tomorrow, but he dies Night 1. No more Shirley, and no more accusations about you.

As for the look yourself, I've already mentioned my reasons, a few reasons mentioned multiple times. You're welcome to look through the past days yourself and respond to each and attempt to persuade me that you're townie.

As for the skiving..what? Why would I be trying to hide while telling you to find ways to defend yourself?

Am I crazy here? Does no one else see Greg as scummy?

Posted

As said, my suspicions are on Russell mainly. Especially given the fact that he has now resorted to coming up with ideas (rarely seen) regarding the affiliation of the players, with two mafias, in order to avert attention away from him.

The case against Eric confuses me. He has not done anything particularly scummy to me, and it seems like the votes are just voting on because he hasn't been particularly loud, a bandwagon that seems rather frightening. For now, I'll place my vote on Russell. He seems to escape the vote barely each time, and his attempts on diverting attention away from him this time aren't worth ignoring again.

Vote: Russell (Sandy)

Ok, so I went and looked at your post you asked me to. Would you like to know why I didn't feel compelled to respond to you? Because right after that, as you have said yourself, Al revealed that Irene had been investigated as scum. I am town, so why would I ignore that to respond to you? I am sorry but a result from a cop (even though we now know it was from the watcher) is far more important than your suspicions that you couldn't even validate beyond Shirley voting for me at the end of the day.

But I am very concerned at your sentence stating that I am more or less letting them handle their own business? And today isn't as bad as yesterday? I am town! I am with 'them' town handling town business. And it's not very town like of you to state it the way you did.

Because you didn't reference it at all. If someone calls you out, shouldn't you respond. Voting for Irene was fine, we all did it, but just to ignore a direct address..it's just weird. The "them" part? Stating it the way I did? Not sure what you mean, but what I meant is that it mostly seems like everyone else is focused on Eric and Russell and you and I are just bashing each other. I'm more than willing to look into Eric and Russell, hell, I'm starting to realize that it's possible that you might be town after all. Not totally convinced, of course, but your points have started to make more sense.

:look: is everyone just ignoring that Russel said "weather"? That's pretty scummy if you ask me...

But seriously... this Eric vote smells scummy to me. It happened really fast. I guess he could be Scum though despite the fast lynch, as there are only 2 (or 3) scum now, and they don't have as much clout...

Admission of guilt? You've got to be kidding me! The post was obviously about me, since you were quoting where Al was talking about me. What in your post would make me feel guilty?

That's a really interesting way to interpret what was fairly obviously an apology for getting the names confused... guilty conscience?...

There was some weird coincidences going on Day 1 between Eric and Irene. The only reason I voted Eric was to get his attention and to hear what he had to say on the matter of him and Irene posting similarly. I'm going to let him go for now, since there's not a lot of evidence on his part, but I am still suspicious of him. Now, onto my main suspect.

Unvote: Eric (Pala)

Vote: Russell (Sandy)

Out of all the inactive townies, you point me out, mainly because of my vote penalty. I'd be an easy bandwagon for scum to jump on, and yet you still seem bent on me getting lynched. You also claimed to vote for Irene, which really means nothing, since you only voted for Irene when she'd been declared scum, as in Day Two you originally voted for Greg. Assuming your scum, it'd make you look pro town if you voted for a known scum, and I would imagine most of the scum did in fact vote for Irene, seeing how it'd make them look town as well. That and your claims of a second scum team have been largely ignored and have also been misleading.

You can claim to not talking, but your going to have to in the next 24 hours.

I too find it odd that Ace isn't more of a target today... you would think that the scum team would be overjoyed at an easy lynch..... if he was town.

As for now my vote stays where it is. This Greg v. Sarah argument going on is interesting. In my opinion, Sarah is pretty much confirmed as Town due to the Day 1 bandwagon, I'm more concerned about Russel, Eric and Ace, at the moment, but I still feel like noting this.

Coming from the only guy voting for me. :sarcasm_hmpf:

Russell, why are you voting for Eric? You seemed dead set on placing some blame on me earlier and calling me an "easy lynch" for the town.

Do you want me to vote for you, is that it? You're only one vote from getting lynched. I'm voting for Eric because I'm trying to cooperate with the town, and people are throwing rather convincing thoughts against him. As if my reasonings mattered to anyone anymore. I'm already a marked man, despite trying my best to be an active and contributing citizen.

All I have is my "scummy" theories. I was never "dead set" on voting for you, I just wanted to express my thoughts and ponderings. But apparently that's not allowed in this town, because anything else than staying quiet is considered scummy. :hmpf:

Your reasonings definitely matter, even moreso now that you're under the spotlight. I'd rather hear your suspicions than just see you begrudgingly following along with the general consensus. You seem to be complaining a lot about the inactive members of our town - is there anyone in particular there you think is scum?

I don't think you've answered this yet: why did you initially vote for Gregory instead of Irene yesterday?

Yah but then again, after your vote the next one seals the deal so it would undoubtedly put a giant spotlight on the scumbum who would have cast the vote.

No, I don't have any insight on the silent people - how could I have? I don't have any allies in this game of life, nobody has approached me privately or anything. I have voiced my theories and thoughts, and all of them have been shot down as "scummy". I just don't believe we could have so many night actions as a town - a cop, a doctor, a tracker, a watcher, a vigilante, a serial killer, and now a town blocker? Someone has to be lying, but I have no names to connect to these roles.

Remember what the Voice in the Sky said about this game of life in the beginning? That it is not exactly normal. I've been trying to figure out what the twist here is, but haven't been able to figure it out.

Yesterday I voted for Gregory since it seemed the suspicions were towards him and me. Irene was fiercely trying to get me voted out, but I felt like voting for her without any other reason would be seen as... Yes, you guessed it... SCUMMY. That's why I immediately voted her once I heard your news. If I were scum, I could have just stayed silent and hope to prevent the lynch from happening, couldn't I? The vote was really tight in the end, a few more inactive people (besides Ace, cough cough) and we wouldn't have gotten a lynch at all.

We are winning here, we only need to oust a few more scumbags (unless we have a rivalling Mafia family, like I still believe we might have) so I'm frustrated that the focus is on me rather than someone else. So investigate me, kill me, lynch me - just do something that will allow us as a Town to move on from my sorry megablocks! :hmpf:

I've voted for you everyday so far! It has nothing to do with the penalty votes!

But seriously, the way I see it, Pamela and I were the only two that have been really focused on you... and now she's dead on a day you also have Penalty votes... so now it's just one voice calling for your lynch instead of the two that could have lynched you on their own. If you were town, I could imagine that at least one scum would call for your lynch, even considering the spotlight (maybe saying "I'll vote X, but Ace is my number 2 suspect, and Ill switch if I feel convinced enough." but nope. I am the only one it seems, who is trying to get you lynched. :sceptic:

to be fair, staying quiet is pretty scummy too. :look::tongue:

Yes BUT typically it's first to 7 gets lynched proving no other suspect passes 7 votes; slippery slope if you ask me

You don't need to know about roles to have suspicions, you just need to watch how people have been behaving. Kind of like how everyone thinks your behaviour is scummy. We really shouldn't have to rely on night actions to get good lynches done.

It doesn't seem that unlikely that the town would have all of those roles, most of them are fairly common. But we're working on verifying all of the claims.

Remember what the Voice in the Sky said about this game of life in the beginning? That it is not exactly normal. I've been trying to figure out what the twist here is, but haven't been able to figure it out.

I think I missed the 24-hour mark from my last post by a few hours; my apologies. Just finished a 16-hour day at work and I have no brain cells left. From what I can tell, I like my current vote, although it does ping me that Eugene wants to ask us why no one is voting against Ace while his vote is on Russell, and his posts all seem very... blandly aligned with the majority sentiment. Or I might just be tired. I'll see you all tomorrow - unless someone gets lynched first.

This is what the Big Old Booming voice said:

I guess I haven't been too clear on the theme. It's mafia related. Sort of basic town versus scum.

Except it won't be a "basic" game.

And sorry, I got the Irene vote mixed up with the Brian vote in my head. I'm talking via my cellphone so I couldn't check.
